I'm in shock!! The vision i had of Kazakhstan was this poor and dismal country and it was solely based on that funny movie Borat. But here.... wow, this country is way WAY better. Most importantly the roads are so good and not to forget the civic sense (around zebra crossing). I would say we as Indians are much backward in many many things. We have a loooong way to go. Thanks for the amazing video Varun.

Borat was made in Romania. Which is in Eastern Europe. Kazakhstan is in Asia, next Mongolia right between Russia and China. Its about 5 hours flight by air. We have about 14 % of territory in Europe and rest in Asia, but still not even close. Due to technologies, changes and internet people started recognizing my country. Its unique by its temperature range (-53 to +59), landscape type. In two hours you can find yourself traveling from Canada (Eastern Kazakhstan lots of raccoons, bears, wolves, deers in Altay region next to Russia and Mongolia borders) to Saudi Arabia (Western and Southern parts of Kazakhstan where sand dunes, camels turtles, snakes and dragons next to Caspian Sea and Turkmenistan border). So winters are really cold and summers are really hot.

20 Rupees for a banana in Kazakhstan might sound expensive compared to price in India, but cost of living must be taken into consideration also. People in Kazakhstan earn a lot more money than people in India. Six months ago when I visited India, I paid six rupees per banana from a roadside vendor in Chennai. Here in Bushkill, Pennsylvania, I paid Rupees 110 for 6 large Bananas at Aldis yesterday (49 cents per pound). But the cost of living here is much higher than in Kazakhstan, which is higher than the cost of living in India. I think people in India pay only a moderate amount for fruits and vegetables. People in Kazakhstan seem to be friendly. Roads are clean, unlike in Chennai. This video is very nice to watch as all your videos are. I am a big fan of yours. Yesh Prabhu, Bushkill, Pennsylvania

They are not Russians. They are Kazakh. Language is Russian because they were previosly enslaved by Russia (like English is in India). Kazakhs dont like Russians. Russians oppressed them.

There is a big difference between Russia and the USA. As an Indian in Russia you are easily identified as a foreigner and so people will tend to help you. USA is a country made up of people from all over the world. There is no 'foreigner' concept in the USA. They would assume you are another Indian-American or a Latin-American . Also it is assumed that everyone knows English and all information is available for tourists. So in USA they don't expect anyone to need or ask for help unless it is a medical emergency.

Almaty is an amazing place with lovely and helpful people. I visited shymbluk mountain, charvak canyan. The fruits are amazing. Just had some problem getting veg food but was managed. People are very helpful and friendly.
