Sailing NOHMA

Күн бұрын

While sailing in The Bahamas we spotted something bright orange in the water, we checked it out with the binoculars and it seemed to be an orange lifebuoy. We furled in our gib and headed over to the buoy to see if anyone was in danger. We couldn’t spot anyone in the surroundings so we decided to pick up the buoy out of the water, this was be a good man over board exercise for us. But then it went very wrong…

Awesome fuse fix. I've had to do that in the field with generators while in the military. I'm happy to see others think outside of the box.

Well it would not be sailing if you did not have problems. The trick is to be able to fix at sea and get you somewhere to effect the correct repair. Thank you Sven for your drawing and explanation of M.O B. and. Rudder problem. Fuse fix was real cleaver to repair. Enjoying the videos as ever interesting and well shot. Have safe voyages and keep up the good work .

Nice video Sven just like all the others. Extremely engaging. Keep them comin..! Did Lagoon folk watch this video with the rudder issue? For a relatively new boat it really should not have happened. By the way, when will you guys tour the Greek islands?

Thanks a lot Jacob, I don’t know if they saw the video but we did inform our dealer about it. It should not have happened indeed. We would love to tour the Greek Islands someday, but it will probably not be anytime soon yet.

Lagoons aren’t looking very safe for even cruising in sight of Marine Supply shops! I hope it’s not a design flaw or hidden way of saving or making money at the expense of Safety.
@SailingNohma

The rudder stopper is indeed a thing that could have been designed better but we are still feeling perfectly safe on our Lagoon, of course things break and stuff goes wrong just like on any other boat. Thanks for watching.

Hey guys I am a aspiring sailor and would be sailing singlehanded do you think the lagoon 46 is a easy boat to handle and do you think I can single-handedly sail this great vessel please be honest because I love the boat
@SailingNohma
@SailingNohma 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jack! I would say it's perfectly doable up to 25 knots, then it get's harder. I don't think this boat is designed to sail singlehanded but anything is possible, so with some tricks you might be able to do it. See if you can do a test sail somewhere.
