Possibly her most underrated songs ever! Although this did very well at AC radio back in early 1984, it couldn't push past #26 on the pop charts. This was one of my favorite songs from that entire year.

I know that it is very difficult to let go of the past specially when the person involved played a very big role in your life. It is true that only time can heal the wounds. As a matter of fact, it takes a lot of time to accept that everything between you is already over. Remember the line of Joe de Mango that goes this way: "don't force yourself to forget someone you truly love. it is not his presence that makes it difficult but, it is your stubbornness to accept that a line next to forgetting is impossible.. LIFE should not end where heartaches begin..."

For me this is a great example that art is not displayed in chart positions and selling copies but in songs like this. One of the saddest and most intense love songs I've ever heard. Sheena Easton was a beautiful young woman with a voice that matched and that voice was perfect for this song. It is very sad to me that she had many heartbreaks in her love life that she seemed to carry into her 4 marriages that ended in divorce. I had a crush on her and have studied much about her history. She seemed to transfer much of her pain and happiness onto her husbands that she would cut off all communication to them and to her adopted kids with the last 2 that she divorced. Truly an enigmatic person. I hope she finds some true happiness. She has said she will not get married again. Some people are not meant to be married. I've felt that way at times also. I would like to have her as a friend even today. However, you can have whiskey as a friend, you can have a dog as a friend, but if you have a woman for a friend you will end up drunk and kissing your dog!

I'm a surgeon, today I had to do an operation on a patient who had to be awake during the surgery. I played these sad songs and i performed his operation, and he was crying when it was finished, he said that songs like this reminded him of his mother who listened to these songs, she died to cancer in the same hospital unfortunately.

It's been 1 year ago before i was move on but when i remembered our memories i can't deny that i have Lil bit feelings for him of course he's my first love and especially when he greet me on my 18th birthday i stalk his profile i know that he's happy now with his new and I'm happy too with my new so uhm my message is thanks for all and the happiness that you gave it to me when we was on.🙂
