The dust cap is very bad and is not properly installed
tinsel lead wire is very bad and thin like that which Subzero has
The spiders at the bottom are installed very poorly and may loosenwith strong vibrations
And it was fixed on a plastic collar and screws fixed it on the edges of the Frame in a very bad way
The subwoofers at this price were supposed to be impeccable

Wow 150 at 31hz…. Earthquake baby!. My local shop back in the days had the lower series Magma subwoofers, and 2-12’s did 148db.

So yes this is great but crazy thing is i did a 142.7DB@24hz on a Sound Digital 3k using a DD715C at 2ohm clamped 1800watts so i feel yes this is a good sub but a good box will do the job regardless same with a good amp.

Your actually lucky you didn't blow that speaker running double the RMS rating. It's max power handling is 10k so running a 10k Taramp is very risky a 5k Taramp would have been perfect for a 5k RMS rated sub

ITS ALWAYS BETTER TO RUN A BIGGER AMP THEN NEEDED,, THEN TUNE IT TO THE CORRECT WATTAGE YOU NEED THAT WAY YOU AREN'T PUSHING YOUR AMP TO ITS MAX 24/7. JUST BECAUSE THE AMP IS A 10K DOESN'T MEAN HE HAS THE AMP PUSHING FULL BLAST AT 10K. HE COULD ONLY HAVE THE AMP SET TO GIVE OUT 5K. IF YOUR AMP IS RUNNING AT FULL POWER ALL THE TIME IT CAN GET HOT AND BLOW. YOU ALWAYS WANT TO HAVE MORE POWER THAN WHAT YOU NEED SO YPUR AMP CAN RUN COOLER AND NOT STRESS AS HARD. PLUS HE IS ONLY DOING SHORT BURST SO THIS SUB CAN TAKE 10K FOR VERY SHORT PERIODS OF TIME, THE SUB IS RATED FOR 10K MAX AND 5K RMS

@@Contact_Infoyou can tell if your sub is maxing out or not... you can smell heat... having a bigger amp than necessary prevents clipping the signal.. clipping the signal is the leading cause of heat and coil failure... clipping is also a big cause of the surrounds dimpling on a woofer..

2 18 inch sdr skars made 150db on big Ds channel in his Toyota in prefab boxes. That's 560 dollars for both in the enclosure. This is pretty impressive but too expensive in my opinion 😢

That Sub is 10,000 watt peak, 5,000 watt RMS it's half of what your title says. It's still a beast, but an overpriced one. You can buy a 15" 5000 watt RMS American Bass speaker for $600 or even a 15" 6000 watt RMS Massive Audio for $1,100 still half of what this Earthquake sells for. Pierce Audio sells a 15" 8k MOAB thats conservatively rated at 8k RMS it blows this 15" Earthquake Holees out of the water for $1,200 so I can't imagine paying over 2k for a 5k RMS speaker. Cool video though
