Picking Alone from ‪@thebandheart‬ (Heart) as my second cover on KZfaq felt like the right decision. I have performed this song with Nightwish, After Forever and even at the Christmas Metal Symphony! So when I saw many of you requesting this song, I got to work! Hope you enjoy it!

Dear floor. I am a dutch guy and like to give my comment in English so your fans outside the Netherlands understands what I Wright. I have seen you in " best singers of the Netherlands. I had never heard from you before. The first note you sang I was hooked on. You have the most beautiful powerful voice wich you can change in a split second in a gentle breeze that eases my mind. Floor, you have a fan for life. I am in a wheelchair because of chronic pain. When the hurt blows my mind, I put in my earphones and listen to the songs you sang at" best singers" Then slowly the pain drifts away..... So I can sleep anf Have a good night rest. I have suffered from depression, and unfortunately because of circumstances may kids too, but the one thing that keeps us together, is music. And when you hear something like that, amazing. I just bought some new music, waiting for my Revamp album to arrive! Floor has introduced me to more than Nightwish (my favorite band still) and I am eternally grateful. Her husband has made my 15 yr old son a metal fan and his favorite band is Sabaton. This music kept the peace in a small home with 4 kids during Covid.

Floor missed the point of this song. Ann sings warm, deep and velvety, Floor went cold, high and sharp. It doesn't fit the lyrics or the mood of the song. Sometimes having a great voice isn't enough.

The original was written/recorded by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly (aka i-Ten) in 1983. Heart only covered the song.

❤ I've been a Heart fan since 1978 and have seen them live 14 times. I've always disliked when people covered their songs because they always got it wrong. Not this time. This was absolutely beautiful. I know Ann Wilson is one of Floor's influences. I hope Ann hears this.❤

Its not a Heart song as their version was a cover as well. It was written and released by a band called I-Ten a few years before Heart covered it and the lead singer was a guy. Heart made it famous but it's not their song. It easily findable on youtube, I'd link it but I'm on mobile.

Dear Floor, I have been dating my current partner for almost half a year now. I am extremely grateful for him introducing me to Nightwish, and of course, your solo work. It’s amazing what you can learn from someone in such a short amount of time. I never knew anything about symphonic metal, or metal really, for that metal. I always stayed focused on indie, alt rock, pop, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Twenty One Pilots, and I still love those musicians but I have to say your voice - and Nightwish in its current form - are truly mesmerizing and I think I say it in agreement and as the voice for many people who may never have the opportunity to write a message like this - but you are absolutely the definition of pure joy, bliss, passion, and effort in a singer / creator. A lot of times when you are listening to a song, you are actually not really listening. When Floor is singing it is like the world stops. Every other sound disappears to the background, I only hear that beautiful voice. That is a gift. So proud to be Dutch! ❤️🇳🇱

I used this song to introduce my dad to Floor. He loves Heart and has always said it's so hard for people to sing their songs because of how good Ann Wilson can sing lol. I said "yeah, but listen to this!" He was, well, FLOORED by how good this is. I told him Floor can sing anything she freaking wants to and he immediately agreed haha. He's now on the Nightwish path. Finally haha.

Absolutely amazing. The vocal range on this woman is mind blowing, and this is certainly one of THE best vocal covers I've heard. Period. I'd heard an earlier version of her singing this, found it here on KZfaq in fact, and I recall showing it to one of my lady friends who at the time listened mostly to pop, R&B and some hip hop. Halfway through the song, she was speechless, and by its conclusion, her eyes were welled up (so were mine). Trust me, she was a fan after that.

Hello everyone, the Dutch fans of Nightwish are trying to vote some Nightwish songs into the NPO Top 2000. This is an annual hit list at the end of the year by the Dutch radio station Radio2 with the 2000 most appreciated songs. Every year you can vote for your favorite songs, and people living in other countries than The Netherlands can also vote. I will vote again this year because I think that Floor deserves more recognition in her own country, where most radio stations almost never play Nightwish. The name of the fanmade Facebook Group is "Nightwishindetop2000". I'm almost sure that this year we will vote for these 5 songs: *Ghost Love Score (live) - this is the Wacken 2013 version which made it into the Top 2000 edition 2019 *Elan *Phantom of the Opera with Henk Poort *Shoemaker *How's The Heart Voting starts on 1 December and the deadline is 6 or 7 December.

Well, I voted for 35 songs, when only GLS, Elan and Phantom of the Opera were available , IOW, added 32 songs , including Floor's solo covers, a few Beste Zangers songs, and about 30 NW songs :). Was a bit of work, with all the justifications, but worth it IMO :). BTW, anybody can vote for these, apparently - you don't have to be a Dutch fan .... And the more votes, the better :).

Floor is concurring the world right now, and her reach will go far beyond the Nightwish army. She will keep doing covers, as long as the corona crazyness will go on. Her initiative to start a cover series on her own KZfaq channel will make her truly world famous. All the voice coach reactions on YT will help push her forward at rocket speed. And she deserves it So much. Her last cover went over a million views in less than two weeks, and this one will do the same. Millions and millions of new people will learn to know Floor, and how good she is. I am so happy for her, finally getting the worldwide recognition she deserves. As an artist, as a magnificent vocalist, and as a wonderful person.

she has a big following but being with Nightwish got everyone going..."Tarja is better" and i, honestly prefer Floor than the other 2 singers they had. To me its not that she is better or not but rather, her voice register is like throwing a warm soft blanket over me while i am sleeping. She has a register that i love to hear from a female vocalist when everyone else wants to praise women who hits super high notes.

Floor takes a rock ballad and turns it into a lonely, haunting, darker song.. Longing comes to mind...The piano was a great touch! Very well done!!!

Everyone notices the stunning high note, but I just wanted to let you know how much I am impressed by the richness of your lower notes. For me some of your best “Wow” moments are your low singing. Such an amazing range in both directions. With all of that hard work you put in on training and practicing, you make everything seem so effortless! Thank you for sharing your gifts and talents. I hope you can get back on the stage soon and share with us even more!

I've seen Heart in concert 4 times. There are some songs in which certain singers were meant to sing, and this song had Ann Wilson written all over it. I didn't think it was possible for anyone to sing this song better than her, but true to form - Floor nailed it. Just like "Shallow" on Beste Zangers. So much passion in the vocals. Luminous performance, Floor.

Amazing cover 😍 I already loved the After Forever cover. If anyone can sing that song even better than Ann Wilson, it's Floor 🤗 I like how at the end she looks at the camera like "That's it" or "Was that ok?" 😄
