I remember this level so much. It was so intense and scary when I played it. It reminded me of the 2012 movie. Now when I look back, it's not the best... glitches everywhere, empty streets and the textures and graphics are so flat.

This was the first game I platinumed on the PS3. The updates to it for PS3 were fantastic -- like the female lead giving you directions during this driving scene -- and it's a real shame the PC and Xbox versions never got those updates in a patch.

Ну не знаю, по мне так это один из лучших моментов в компьютерных играх. Все подобрано просто отлично и музыка и все остальное. Графика конечно сейчас совсем не удивляет, но все таки до сих пор помню этот уровень.

This game could've been a great movie

The game is not entirely bad. The graphics were decent, they made up some good things. They catched you with the story sometimes... The three problems with this game, though, are: 1. the broken control. 2. the story that follows all those paterns we all know as if we memorized them. For example that each statist has to die once he open his mouth. (The deadliest phrase in a horror movie you could possibly say is: "Hello? Somebody there?" Unless of course you are a protagonist, then you actually have a chance of surviving those lines.) 3. the story wasn't well thoughtout. Everyone knows while playing it that they had no idea who Carnby is either. If they thought about something, you would have noticed that. But instead, it's just like this: he lost his memories and looks for it, so get some puzzle pieces now and then, but it stays that way. Why? Because they didn't think about who he might have been!

I liked so much this part. I used to replay it multiple times to do it in less time every try

I throught the game was about the end of the world

I remember looking up like "2012 video game" back in the game because I watched that film. This chase sequence popped up in like low quality with some rock music. They failed the chase and fell into the abyss during the video. That convinced me the game was somehow real. It's probably been more than an decade and now I finally found out what it was for. It was for a game that has no idea what it wants to be.

This game brings back so many memories

I've been trying to get trough the long car scene for weeks :( I'm not kidding! It's literally just buggy, I only got to the stairs two times and bad mechanics literally made me come to a complete stop and die both times. When I land I sometimes get flung into the air=death, camera randomly flies away=death, ram overload makes things messed up=death(this game was optimized for the developer console, not the consumer one), cars just run into me in the left or right which makes the car swivel out of control, and a single touch of anything sends You to a full stop or just push me into a crack in the ground. I also couldn't hit enemies and could hardly see them most of the time with brightness turned up on everything. I tried multiple consoles and discs and all of them are laggy. With this video I may be able to do it 🏋️‍♂️

I used to pull my fucking hair out trying to beat this stage, but the music alone makes me forgive its difficulty. This game was good for what it's worth.

I remember when i was younger, I was watching my mom play, at one point of this car scene, the car just fell down flat and all the 4 doors the trunk and the hood just popped off, i burst out of laughter

ahhh... This just got recommended for me. Jesus this fucking section drove me insane back in the day I had 7500GT at the time and the game was FULL LOW and the fps were around 20s and with graphical bugs back in 2008 and before most of the PC games were unoptimized garbage even till this day tbh, but not as much as before and the fact this game had a terrible control scheme on Mouse and Keyboard it didn't help at all.

A good sequence stuck in a... not very well designed game. I legitmately enjoyned it and was impressed by it the first time I did it... ignoring the glitches, and bad movement control, its actually good and very atmospheric and stuff. Maybe they should have focused more on these kind of scenes instead or something, lol.

Yes this game is trash. But its got some of the best action set pieces in any game.

i got the game day one, preorder and all, i was hyped for the soundtrack, i was excited about the fire mechanics of the game, but just some of the story plots and writing was just bad, controls were not great even thou they surposably fixed this, it had alot of potential, but the game became less of a horror survival and attempted to sorta copy of an action survival, sorta like it copied the Uwe Boll movie concept
