Alone in the Dark is a reimagined classic survival horror game developed by Pieces Interactive. Take a look at the latest gameplay trailer for Alone in the Dark where Emily and Private Investigator Edward arrive at the Derceto Manor to uncover strange occurences and most pertiniently to find Jeremy. Alone in the Dark is launching on January 16, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.

All people have forgotten that Alone in the Dark is the father of Survival Horror. Long before Resident Evil and Silent Hill appeared.

@@aznthy While it is indeed horror theme, it's a turn base game. Alone in the Dark started the fix camera angle couple with real time combat and puzzles.

I'm a little worried about the shooting and fighting mechanics....i see now why they delayed the game...i really hope the story compensates....this was a great game back in the day so it deserves to be on par with games like alan wake 2 or RE2 remake

this looks like The Sinking City levels of jank and I'm all for it. Despite all the flaws and bugs, that game was still a solid 7/10. Let's hope this one is on the same level at least.

The enemies don't look scary in the slightest but overall, doesn't seem terrible. Survival horror seems like one of those genres where even a B-tier game can still be really enjoyable. I'll keep an eye on this and see how it is when it releases.

There was only two "weird" games tbh. AitD 1-4 are all classic horror. The 2008 rebooy and Illumination are where things got really bad.

hmm, it doesnt look amazing but it also doesnt look bad either. The fact they are going back more towards the original story wise, 1920s detective noire sort of aesthetic, makes me curious. Some say the monsters dont look all that scary but if you played the original, those were wierd af too, more scary by how they wuould just pop out of things if you didnt take precautions to block their paths like dresser in front of windows and heavy trunks on trap doors. Wonder if there will be multiple endings.
