That is genuine fear right there. I felt so bad for him because he is a humble person. When a bigshot gets scared you kind of chuckle, but this was a bad experience for him. Maybe he will give something like this a shot again in the future so he can experience the wild without fear.

Large bears will completely freak you out at night. You don't know what is going on you can't see. I float tripped ALaska backcountry for eleven days with two friends, bears everywhere fattening up on salmon. One night bear just outside the tent just like you. That's THE most scared I've ever been. Period. And we had ,44 and 12 gauge right beside us. Naw there is nothing to be ashamed of dude. Back to family and that is what is most important.

go figure he didnt have his badge and gun so he didnt have anything to hide behind..plus he had fatwood and a fire striker rod on the first night and he couldnt get it lit..if u cant get fat wood to light u defiantly need to stay in ur cop car and donuts
