So great to see you and Scout out with Eddie! And my wife and I thank you for your safety precautions. We were really pleased to see you tie off your ladder and lock up Eddie and your terrific safety chaps for when you are using the chainsaw. BRAVO. SAFETY FIRST INDEED!😍😍When you are out in the woods alone, for sure your family will want to have peace of mind🥰

You need to lock your chains as well, wrap them around where they are connected, make sure their is no give, and with a good padlock, it doesn't stop the battery angle grinder though. All they have to do really is put a chain thru your A frame, and hook to the back of their towbar, where the chain connects and drive away. I have a wheel lock, it is the only guarantee, just don't ever lose your key.

Great lock on the trailer, but realize a thief can still use the chains to run off with the trailer regardless of the lock. I used a heavy duty quick link on my chains so I could remove them and leave just a couple of links near the trailer. With a good lock and no chain a thief would move on a to an easier target.

Those chainsaw pants are a very good idea, my boss was 47 at the time and used them his whole life he ended up cutting into his thigh when he slipped, he’s fine but accidents happen even with someone as familiar with a chainsaw as he was

My first winter camping was in a tent trailer in the Adirondacks of NYS in Nov. during deer season. At 20 below F our boots froze to the floor and our water pail iced over. We had an unvented propane apartment heater which we didn't trust to run overnight. No one had a warm sleeping bag because we used to have a tar paper cabin with wood stove until the snow collapsed it in 1971. I grew up in a farmhouse heated by an oak wood stove. The stovepipe ran horizontally from the stove to the chimney. I saw the same arrangement in the kitchen of an old farm house we hunted out of. It was a way to extract the maximum amount of heat from the stove before exiting to the chimney. You probably don't have headroom for something like that. If you did, you would have to line the wall and ceiling with fire resistant masonite board. It would be important also to clean the pipe regularly. I'm curious how often you have to feed your stove during the night. Also it would seem more efficient to build a stainless steel counter to prepare foods on and do dishes so you still have access to your cooler. A shallow drawer would be handy for silverware and cooing utensils. A paper towel holder nearby on a wall is useful. The ironing board might be better as an eating table. In our camp we made S hooks out of wire clothes hangers to hang clothes to dry. Also handy for pots and pans. You could screw a lightweight cable the length of the wall to hook to. Wooden spring clothespins and spring metal paper clips also have similar uses. We also put down an indoor outdoor carpet to keep the floor dryer and cleaner and a boot scraper outside the door. A gazebo awning allows you to sit outside in rain or snow and enjoy the fire as well as washup outside. Also serves as a place to store firewood and extra ice chests. Even the best design can be made better.

Great job! My idea of enjoying a camper is to do as little work as possible. Even with a decent size, ready-built camper with most "fixing", we still have about 2 hours of setup every time. Cutting back on that time is a bit of a challenge, for anyone. Would love to see you enjoy the fruits of your labor more. The more WE have, the more complicated OUR lives get and the less enjoyable. "LESS IS MORE UNLESS IT'S COFFEE". Thank you for uploading your video, and putting so much work into it. I will continue to click on your links.

Scout feels safe with you and most pets that feel safe with, especially a biological living creature: Whether human, will always be loyal. I found this out at the age of seven when my mom bought me a scrounge mutt that I named Tina Marie. It's been nearly 62 years since I've seen her but boomer was a great pet for the kids. Do miss all my friends but sure they all are living with their creator. Thanks for the good memories Scout and friend.

nice build , i built a 6x12 with a fold up bed and a kitchen in the front . it is roomy enough to park my 3 wheel canam spyder in so i can ride when i get where i am going . one thing i did was install my safety chains with couplings so i can remove them when i park away from home . the idea is to prevent thieves from towing it with the chains hooked onto their hitch , and it does happen , anything to stop crooks , just keep the chains short .. have more fun..

Good video buddy! I want you to know you are the FIRST and ONLY person i have seen on countless videos that had enough sense to take a few minutes to put chainsaw chaps on! I have cut countless trees in my life and i wont get a chainsaw out without my chaps! I learned the hard way but at the time chaps was hard to find now you xan get them easy. But round 97 i was going a tree for a friend and my big saw when i i went to start cutting caught a little bitty vine no bigger than my little finger kicked the saw back right across my left leg half way between my knee and hip perfectly in the middle of my mucle and went to the bone and you could see my bone. ONLY by GODs sweet Grace HE didnt let hit my bone and cut my leg off! It took 3 layers of stitches, 45, to get it closed up. The docs and nurses were amazed i got the bleeding to stop and they told me that the MAJORITY of all chainsaw cuts the people DONT make not cause of the cut itself but because they bleed to death before they can get medical help!!! Majority of all chainsaw accidents are a long ways from hospitals like i was out in the woods etc. So im thankful you took the time to put this in your video! Folks please take this very serious cause its NO joke!!! Ive watched countless videos of overlanders and 4x4s on trails that have to clear a trail to keep going and many cutting up firewood for camp and where they are at especialy overlanders one littlebitty vine or something could cost you your life but if not especially ruin yours and others dayS!! Sorry im so long but if it will save one person its worth it! Oh yeah if you could see my poor old chaps now and see all the cuts on them that along would get your attention cause if i didnt have chaps on all them cuts on my chaps would be my legs! Take care my friend! HAPPY TRAILS!!!

I binge watch the series from start to this point last night. You are doing an enviable job. Congratulations. I can appreciate your interest in security because this is a passion project. Recouping $$ is not enough. What about adding a "secret" wiring cut-off (remote or physical) for the exterior lighting so if someone did hook it up, the lack of brake/lighting might be a signal to the police/someone? I have now subscribed too.....back to this video.....

That's a great lock. It's the same one we have on our fifth wheel. Someone did try to cut it off while we were boondocking. They used a dewalt circular saw as well as a dewalt sawzall. (Spelling??) The reason I know what was used is we pulled up on them and they left their battery operated tools behind. They hadn't made a scratch on the lock. They took off ( there were 4 of them) in a truck almost identical to ours. So they left empty handed and we received 2 almost new tools. That lock saved our vacation and a lot of money, so good choice. I use plastic utensils at home. Takeout food usually gives them to us and one way or the other they will find a trash can, so why not use them? We don't actually purchase them, just to be clear. Hope you and Scout had a wonderful trip.

Great lock for a heavy trailer, honestly if someone truly wanted to partake themselves of a light trailer, it’s a couple of chains around the hitch, lift it up with a winch and off they go. Best lock in my opinion is a wheel/hub lock. Can’t take it if it won’t roll.

Great idea with the tongue lock, but I would like to add please consider making your safety chains removable. I have heard stories of trailer thieves hooking the chains and stealing the trailer that way. I don't know how they do it I don't have the mind of a thief. I do love the lock and wish it had been available when I purchased my Proven Industries lock. I like my lock but it's quite cumbersome and you have to lie on the ground to access the key tumbler when removing the lock. I'm not as flexible as I once was! 😅
