Mystic, philosopher, poet, sage, Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi (1165-1240) was one of the world’s great spiritual teachers.
Ibn Arabi was born in Murcia in Arab al-Andalus, and his writings had an immense impact throughout the Islamic world and beyond. The universal ideas underlying his thought are of immediate relevance today.
This is not a poem in the Arabic, but part of a chapter from the Kitab al-Tajalliyat. However, since it was translated in the form of a poem by Henry Corbin in Creative Imagination in the Sufism of Ibn Arabi, it has become deservedly famous.

Listen, O dearly beloved!
I am the reality of the world, the centre of the circumference,
I am the parts and the whole.
I am the will established between Heaven and Earth,
I have created perception in you only in order to be the
object of my perception.
If then you perceive me, you perceive yourself.
But you cannot perceive me through yourself,
It is through my eyes that you see me and see yourself,
Through your eyes you cannot see me.
Dearly beloved!
I have called you so often and you have not heard me
I have shown myself to you so often and you have not
seen me.
I have made myself fragrance so often, and you have
not smelled me.
Savorous food, and you have not tasted me.
Why can you not reach me through the object you touch
Or breathe me through sweet perfumes?
Why do you not see me? Why do you not hear me?
Why? Why? Why?

@@mariamaazouz5100 well now that's shirk. Pantheists who worship stones say the same thing that God is everywhere, so he is in the stones as well. And we all! Know that's shirk. Also God is not within us, His love is within us. He is far exalted to be in the nature. Allah is outside the creation and He pervades all of His creation through His divine reach. If you are a Muslim, you have to work on your aqeedah of Tauheed.

@@Tafseel i ave read the short version - ( no sure if your taling about the same or not -- again if u pray salah, do zakat and follow saudi arabia,, ibn taymiah, M wahab, then u wud never ever understand ibn arabii, because to understand his work, u need to learn sufi prinicples, if u follow sahaba islam (saudi arabia ) u wont be able to do,, read about sufi islam, may good show u the right path (not political sahaba (omar islam) which has many errors.

И целое, и его части - это Я… Я есть - непререкаемая воля, что установлена меж Небом и Землей. Мной ощущения дарованы тебе, чтоб мог воспринимать ты всё богатство Моих бессчётных проявлений в этом мире… И даже если ты себя осознаёшь, то ты Меня воспринимаешь лишь частично, но в цельности ты воспринять Меня не можешь... Через Мои глаза ты наблюдаешь Мои части, и через них же видишь ты себя. Жаль только - взгляду глаз твоих Я недоступен... Тебе являлся Я нередко, но, увы - не удавалось разглядеть тебе Меня... Anyone thinks God needs us? Is God: - perfume? A body to see? A time to wait? Food to eat? All that he ( poet) says? I feel that God is LOVE! When one LOVES is never alone. God LOVED us so much HE created the worlds, separated waters, lands, space, air, light, and He gave us. I feel, we need God. We need to recognize, He LOVES us so much that intill we feel fulfillment, joy, peace and all is beautifull, we haven't understood God's LOVE. So when one LOVES just give and give without fear concern. When we serve God in any dimension and life stage we just LOVE . Beautiful poem. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

While I don't think the music is necessary here, music isn't haram, it's an important part of sufi ritual.

I seem to recall Rumi having a very high opinion of the reed flute. various sufi rituals are based on music, especially the sama dance. there's also the sufi musical healing as practiced by oruc guvenec, promoted by the likes of Omid Safi. maybe music is prohibited by salfists, but this video is about Sufi, and they like music, so deal with it.
