Fernando’s performance in endurance racing after leaving F1 was when I really started to believe he’s one of the greatest racers in the world. It’s rare for drivers to switch sports and win, and that’s why drivers like Graham Hill and Mario Andretti are so incredible. After his LeMans win, Alonso cemented himself as one of the greats in my eyes.
@javiersilva15776 ай бұрын
I’m just starting to get into F1. How good is Max actually? If he weren’t driving for Red Bull would he still be winning. It seems like if Max wasn’t driving for Red Bull, Perez would be winning most races. Am I wrong or does the Red Bull car give their drives an insurmountable advantage?
@depo56266 ай бұрын
@@javiersilva1577 many people argue, but in my opinion, he really is one of the best in the sport’s history. He’s clearly more talented than his teammates, but before Red Bull was the unstoppable force they are now, Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton were the undisputed top of the food chain, but Max was still competitive against Lewis for years before Red Bull took the lead. Max started racing in F1 at 17 years old, and he set multiple records like youngest gran prix winner at 18, most overtakes in a season in the same season, and more. Max and his car have only gotten better throughout his career, and I argue he really is THAT good.

@@depo5626 I understand Max is a very good racer. But does the Redbull car havetoo much of an advantage? Even if Hamilton races his best race, he can’t catch Max? I think the fact that Max and Checo are in 1st & 2nd place for the season, proves that the Red Bull car is too good. Because Checo is my favorite driver but he is not better than Hamilton, yet he has more points than Hamilton.

@@javiersilva1577 bro we had 7 seasons of mercedes ruling F1 and we had to sit and watch it. only now after 3 seasons have another team gotten these regulations correct. also it's not always just the car, Ham has made some costly errors this season which cost him a bunch of points. he was really close to checo but then he dropped it on turn 1 at qatar. sometimes it is the car, most of the time it's the driver
