Interesting 👍where can I find price info on fares to Misima, Tagula etc.? There don't seem to be hotels/guesthouses on these islands, how would a foreign visitor find a place to sleep on these islands?

Thank you Adika for watching my videos! I appreciate it 🙏 To go from Alotau to Misima by Boat, you go to Sanderson Bay Boat Stop. That's in Alotau town. That's where the boats will be. Then you talk to the captain, or the owner if you have to. It costs between K120 and K150 to travel by boat from Alotau to Misima. The trip takes about 24 hours.

I want to ask if it's true that our journey from Alotau to Misima is sometimes the weather is not conducive so we have to stay overnight on an island? Do bad weather events often occur in the middle of the sea?. thanks for your attention bro

Hi Adika. Bad weather events are extremely rare. If the weather is bad then a warning is issued from the weather office and boats don't travel in the first place. So it's unlikely that a boat will get caught in a bad weather event.
