Alpaka Zip Clutch VS Alpaka Zip Pouch Pro
Alpaka made some tiny gear for us with these, but they pack a punch! These products are meant to help out when you have too much in your pockets, or need to organize some smaller items, or even to use in place of a wallet. There are soooo many use cases for these products.
Zip Clutch - This is the bigger option. It has pen slots, can fit a passport, and a few internal pockets.

I've used the pouch pro for a year to keep my pockets organized. The xpac holds up amazing, and I have one item to grab instead of several when walking out the door. The back has a bolt action pen, and flashlight. The front holds a basic bic lighter. Inside I use for a coin pouch, and on the other side of the divider keeps a USB stick on hand. Compact and very convenient.

the zip pouch is a great front carry wallet, it checks all the boxes. the only annoying thing is having to fold US dollar bills in half everytime you take out or put away cash.

That's the problem with most minimal wallets these days. Folding bills sounds nice and compact until you actually make a transaction

@@LChineze I see. For me personally it is. I always feel rushed to finish a transaction as soon as possible either with a line behind me and/or I need somewhere to go and don't want to waste time. Yes it takes a few seconds, but in the moment feels like forever

@@e3vL1 reason why its annoying and not a deal breaker, because most of my transactions are paid thru debit card and not cash. its more annoying for me to unfold the bills when i paid for gas using cash. if i do pay using cash and get change, i just quickly fold the bills in half and stuff them in the zip pouch and sort it at a later time.

@@LChineze I also transitioned to mobile pay, but still use cash occasionally Before I also stuff bills in my pocket or backpack dump pocket. Issue for me is I sometimes forget to reorganize, put cash back into my wallet. If that occurs it makes next transaction even more frustrating when you forget to do so

Zip clutch is nice as a very minimal tech kit. I use a nimble slim 65w charger and 2 usb c cables in them. External sleeve for a work phone or slim 10k mah power bank. Makes it easy to swap between a backpack and sling. Well built too.

great video! they look nice but too thin. i know minimalism is in but i still like having bills and cards. and a bifold even a thin one still doesn't hold as much as a pouch. so i am currently rocking a nylon 11x4x1 inch generic pouch. holds like 20 bills(folded in half) easy. a small swiss knife, cutter/bottle opener, mirror, 6cards, sunglasses wipes, small pen and a small bic lighter. 2 slits outside for cards, back side is a belt loop if you want to attach it to a belt, inside left and right separation 2 rows on the left and 2 on the right. it is full but not bursting like the pouches in this video BUT the question i have is what wallet/pouch can you recommend that is similar or close to an 11x4x1 inch rectangle pouch THAT is made with cordura ballistic nylon or xpac (or dyneema, or dyneema XPAC!!?) materials. the premium stuff. the good stuff. i want my wallet pouch to last years. the one i am using just going into and out of my pocket is showing some fraying in some parts. it's not even a year. granted i got it for like 2 bucks. that's why I'm looking for higher class materials. thank you and more power.

I use a zip cardholder as an everyday use wallet, I'm able to fit it with my cards, notes, coins, keys and even small useful items. I got a zip clutch for overseas use since it can fit a passport nicely. I like that the prices are pretty affordable, they keep things neat, and materials are pretty nice too

I have both the Zip Pouch Pro and Zip Clutch in RX30 Ocean Blue. Zip Pouch Pro for basic EDC and daily wallet and Zip Clutch for international travel as it can hold my passport on the outside compartment and it offers more space

I considered the Alpaka one for a wallet replacement. Decided to go with a Chums Surf Short instead. They do look useful though.

I have both of them. The Pro carries my EDC small tools. Drivers. Pliers. Etc. the Clutch carries small tech. Short charger cables. Microfiber. Pens. Floss.

There's plenty videos online showing pretty nice EDC layouts for the Zip Clutch. Almost made me buy one) But I do not have enough EDC gear to pack it up and stuffing it with ordinary items seems almost pointless - there's plenty of other options out there, less suited for "minimalist-survivalist" and more for "imma city boy!")

The clutch would be so much more useful (or just useful) if it wasn’t sewn like an envelope. Adding even half an inch of a bottom would add a lot of dimension. I tried to use it for- glasses, iPhone, ID and debit card, some cash, and the key fob for my car. No bueno. And it’s too large to use inside of a sling, unless you’re rocking at least a 3L sling.

1:55 - "EDC carry" So you meant to say "every day carry carry" right? It really grinds my gears when people do that with acronyms (EV vehicle, PIN number, LCD display, ATM machine etc.). The acronym is there in order for you to be able to not say the words... That being said, I use a Zip Pouch (non-Pro, I don't need the hub attachment or tiny external pockets) as my wallet. Holds my cards, cash, car key, backup SD card and a Victorinox card multi-tool.

they failed on this design. I just got the zip pouch pro. they need to make it where all outer pockets are still usable even if filling up the inside main compartment pockets. otherwise it's just to tight to get anything out or put anything in. going to return mine.
