For someone knew to nitro this is a really helpful video. Sometimes it's hard to diagnose which needle is too lean or rich if you're not quite sure of the symptoms but this demonstrates it quite well.

Ryan, this is a great video, as is the entire Alpha series. So much, so I've decided to try one out. Much like Werks, all owners are fervent about their Alpha Lutz's. I know two guys who have one and they rock and roll!. Honestly, I was sold when I saw that carb face plate. That's thinking outside the box Anyone come visit after 4/30 to see my buggy rockin the bright pink head. ;-)

I'm a little over a gallon in and things have been fine thus far except my needles are way out from flush when it got a base tune. I noticed your HSN was right at about flush (mine is about 3.5 turns out). Are you running a different carb here? Also, the way I tune (and I have experience with many brands Nova, OS, Werks, , etc.) is at 00:31 in this vid, I listen for the idle to two stage. I lean the bottom until the idle is consistent for ~12-15 seconds then I lay it down. This carb does not seem to like the 'Ron Paris' tuning method. Why is this?
