with this week marking the 2 year mark for Alpha One ending, it's about time reflected on the progress made.
Today, i'm going to take you on a little trip down memory lines for Ashes of Creations Development over these last 24 months.
I have just installed a brand new mic setup for tonights stream (over $900 worth of audio equipment) so come join the streams and lemme know how the new quality sounds!

I have really high hopes for the story arcs and heres why: in pretty much every mmo the premise is that you are the hero and need to stop everything. Aoc has the chance to really make the game feel bigger than the player with their setup and im really excited for that.

dont worry bro,also same gonna happend here,poeple enjoy playing solo and thats fine!Group is for Dungeons,raids,GvG/Node wars?!idk what do you expect playing and farm xp in party lol?!BDO is grind and amazing game,mostly i play in group when farming xp i mean high lvl +,i expect in ashes alot of features thats all and good optimization!

I am sad that the game is taking so long but Im happy that the developers actually care and prosper under Sheriff's rigid vision for AoC. I honestly feel like this game is the one, whenever it comes. Pax Dei is lookijg great, too.

Clarification: the Public Alpha Phases are not the only testing going on. I'm one of many Remote Testers outside of the public phases. There are still consistent testing going on so don't worry, lots of new stuff and updates happening even if it's not at the official end user level.

If I bought an Alpha 1 Phase 2 pack from the original Kickstarter, would I be able to play Alpha 2? It appears they changed the release schedule a bit, on the wiki, it's stated as "Alpha 1" then "Alpha 2" (no mention of phases). Thanks for the hearty dose of copium

I am pretty sure as long as you have any Alpha 1or 2 pack your good to go, you could always ask on the forum though, they are pretty good at answering stuff, if it hasn't already been answered that is.

I bought an alpha 2 key during the alpha 1 because I was so hyped, but I don't know that I even want to play anymore tbh. Not entirely sure why I feel that way, but the excitement just isn't there anymore.

I did the same, its just called patience, and the best way to remedy that is to stop watching every stream update about it, then jump back in six moths for arguments sake and see what has changed, you will be surprised how quickly that spark will ignite again. The reason i say this, is because most MMO's you don't see all the development constantly and then bam, a month before release you hear all about it, with AoC being so transparent and also so complex and big, its obviously going to take a lot longer than normal, so when people say constantly that the game is taking too long... its actually not, it just feels that way, most big MMO's take anywhere from 5 to 9 years or more without anyone even knowing about it. Hang in there buddy.

UR 5 was a great movie and I expect to see it upgraded to at least 5.2 if not higher by release. Mmorpgs that are good need awe inspiring worlds. Because developer’s have forgotten that the world is the main character of an mmorpg. Something that blizzard has forgotten. Seeing the entire world should take you a good 6 months to a year. Remember it’s the character and it’s changes and places you go for content. AOC is an absolute awesome world that depends on us to do things with a small part to making things happen. Other content is activated over time. When will we get another character showed off?

Cannot be overstated; do not under any circumstances financially invest in a video games development through crowdfunding sources. If you are not getting anything in return on your investment, then you are being textbook example scammed. And that is exactly what is going on with Ashes of Creation. I hope this MMO eventually releases, but i'm not holding my breath. Its been nothing but excuses from this dev team. And honestly none of this would be an issue, no one would care, if the devs weren't constantly asking people to give up hundreds if not thousands of dollars, while at the same time promising the worlds greatest MMORPG of all time, but also saying they possibly can't ever actually deliver this.

This is mainly one if not the reason we don't have FULL RELEASED GAMES anymore, just a bunch of early access full of bugs and unbalanced sh*t you guys call games instead. Player base changed so much over the year, everyone want 'their' game released as soon as possible, yet complain when it's out and BAD because of poor balancing/bugs/whatever. Community from the game and content creators especially should not pressure them to push the stages of development. We all want a good mmo at the end of the day

Yeah I will say its at least another year maybe two before Alpha two, they spent too much time on a Battle Royal, before I get people attacking me, I bought Alpha two, this is just my expectations
