In my experience, the most fun way to play casuals with items is for everyone to go snake (this works for free for all, not just 1v1), and everyone place a sticky C4 onto another person. Then run back to starting positions and actually start the fight. For best results use on Mario maker with all items except dragoon turned on, 5 stock, stage morph optional, and try not to camp. Repeat the process of gentleman’s stick every time two people are on a fresh stock at the same time

Please, we need to start some form of “casual competitive”, with still some form of rules (like maybe not every item allowed), but still allow certain things that are normally banned in competitive. Aka more stages, allow certain items, have Smash meter on, maybe 5 stocks since you probably die faster... competitive Smash is great, but it’s honestly so fun to watch gimmicky stuff happening with top players.

Peterson Byrd I’m okay with all those except I personally think Mushrooms are good as long as Poison Mushrooms are also in. Same logic applies if both Smash and Fake Smash Balls are in.

I was not expecting to see this in my recommended today. I am pleasantly amused and laughed the entire way through. Props to the players and to the announcer's man, they made it fun to watch the shenanigans known as casual smash bros.

There is no one intended way to play Smash. There are wrong ones for sure, but no objectively right ones.
