Correct 💯 choose Muller over Neymar everyday he is not flashy but he is so efficient
@edwuncleriii274211 ай бұрын
@@mohamednayadyou’re missing his point though. Alphonso just uses Neymar as a basic example bcos all that a lot of people see in his game is just the flashy skills and dribbling. @stillnoname8409 ай бұрын
Don't forget the man was at some point very clinical in front of the goal and could create his own chances with dribbling. He adapted his skill set to his age. That's what separates him from others. Some players peak high and fall down shortly cuz they don't adapt. They got nothing else to offer. Messi adapted the same. Strolling around, saving energy and exploding when he needs to.

Müller is great no doubt, but at Bayern, he benefitted greatly from the superior brilliance of Robbery and later Lewa, Müller was always super effective in that complementary role. At Germany he honestly hasn't been good post the 2014 WC, he didn't score in any of the 4 big tournaments since.
@neek0110 ай бұрын
@@JarrettMehldauAlso has to do with how the national coach wants to use him and how other players play around him though. The same happens to the Netherlands at the moment, some of the players are beyond garbage in their league but with the Netherlands they get put into a position with more freedom and it showed they were good at that. Personally i think Muller will be a world class coach one day.

Absolutely. It reminds me of Isco and Ronaldo at Madrid. Ronaldo would get so upset with Isco for dribbling so much with the ball and slowing doing transitions instead of keeping it simple by passing the ball right away. That's why Isco, for all his fancy footwork, never had a chance of becoming a starter over Kroos and Modric.
@JarrettMehldau11 ай бұрын
Isco was at times a starter over Bale though, Zizou liked Isco a lot.
@jooniebewatchin11 ай бұрын
@@JarrettMehldauyeah, on the wing. But never was going to break into that midfield. The best he could hope for is a CAM or Winger role with his skill set. I loved Isco’s ability, he was world class in that department. Decision making, and as the OC said his speed in making decisions, held him from his full potential.
@sdemosi11 ай бұрын
To be fair, Modric has the dribbling, passing, positioning and creativity of a world class CM. He's not as big or strong as some CMs but everything else makes up for it. He's also wiry and tough so he can compete in physically tough games. Isco is an even better dribbler but inferior to Modric in many ways. He was never going to be able to push him out of Real's CM.
