Maybe because, unlike Undyne, Mettaton and Sans, Alphys isn't trying to kill the human, she knows she's not that powerful. She's just trying to buy time for the few that are left to escape? Atleast that's my take from it

@@SamTheS I think she is powerful but she thinks evacuation is more important. She used electricity attack against flowey in pacifist route. Who knows maybe she is is not powerful.
