Wald is a small village with a number of nice restaurants and a little over 1000 residents.
Due to its small size, it is an exceedingly congenial village, ideal for families with children due to the fact that the après ski does not really predominate here.
Despite the village not being next to the piste, it is very central, for it lies between 3 ski resorts and between the vast ski resorts of the Zillertal Arena, the Ski-Arena Wildkogel and the Kitzbühl Alps.
