UNDER RATED ! alpina has a huge long term rich history and craftsmanship. It's marketing . Most people are brainwashed to beleive some of the worst watches are good . Alpina is amazing

One of these days, I will own an Alpina. I think that they make some gorgeous watches. Love that leather strap.

I’m a Type-B guy when it comes to pilot watches but this one is awesome. That Hunter case is such a cool touch and the oversized crown is preferred by me on pilot’s watches. Great review Bob!

Always been intrigued with Alpina. I don't have one in my collection. The one time I found a model I really liked it had been discontinued and could never find it. This is an amazing looking model especially with that caseback. Gonna have to put this on my list. Thanks for sharing.

Alpina makes great modern fliegers with applied indices.My favourite is Startimer Pilot in white,I think Ill buy it maybe this winter

Bought this blind without trying in store and I'm blown away. The diameter sounds bigger than it looks when on the wrist because of the slim profile and rounded bezel. And the applied markers really do stand out. My fav watch I own, love it every time I put it on

I have to say I've never handled an Alpina but I really like this one. The applied marker look awesome when the light hits it. Wish the lume was better. Love the twist on the type b dial. But that backdoor is AWESOME!!! great video bud! Also wish it was closer to 39-40mm. It would be perfect 😍

Bought mine at a WA Costco. Wasn’t crazy about the grey market purchase but I am VERY impressed with this in person. The Costco purchase was about the same as a reputable secondhand online purchase so I pulled the trigger.

This is a beautiful watch. Amazingly thin considering the caseback hatch. It could have sold better, perhaps, if it were closer to 40 or 41mm.

I live every thing about this watch. It was a toss up between the Oris aqua. I went the Oris cause it's 41.5mm. But this will be mine in a week or two

Cool idea with the case back. Unfortunately, it makes the watch much thicker than it has to be. I'd rather have the thin profile than the gimmick of the caseback.

Alpina makes durable and attractive watches. I have the Alpiner 4 and it is a regular in my rotation.

I've owned the Seastrong and really liked that one. I'll definitely pick up one of their watches at some point again. The Alpiner 4 might even be the one. Love the blue dial. Thanks Greg.

Nice watch but I can't help thinking they could have gone with a different way of opening the case-back than the pusher. Maybe a push on the crown or even have it friction fitted. I just think the pusher looks out of place. Nice images though Bob 👍🏼

The flieger is like a flieger, or a flieger. Can also be a flieger. But when it's eager, oh boy!, then it's flieger! FFS= for flieger's sake... In this case comes with a foldable flik-flak flieger's Foto (pun intended) family folder.... ffffffffine! Finished... Fun folks! Farewell...!!!!
