I wanted to get some video of the Tropicana Resort and Casino in Las Vegas before it gets demolished. The casino has very few guests and has parts of the casino that look neglected and abandoned already.

the trop used to be a top destination when i got married there in 95!... high end joint for sure!... their famous slogan of the day " 1-800-GO TO TROP"!... the areas lined with beautiful macaws perched along the wall... ive good memories and pictures at the pool. its very sad to see whats coming there, thank you.... its also comforting to see that the place is dying with some dignity!.. all the lights are still on and at least "appears" occupied👍🏻

It's going to be sad to see this resort go. Your video will be looked back upon 20 years from now and you'll be proud that you had walked through on it's last days on earth! 👍👍

Thanks for the comment. I walked through the Riviera a fee days before closing. I wish I would have taken some video of that.

Reminds me of the Desert Inn right before it closed. We stayed at the DI a couple weeks before it closed there’s was no one around you had the run of the place no one was gambling just a couple people at the pool. The DI was such a nice hotel and the casino floor was a little dark but still very nice.

Was there in December and after several trips walked in. Looked ok but...dead...it hasnt been a go to for a long long time. Wandered out. Meanwhile MGM Grand was packed. Its as exciting as Riviera...its a carpark

Just stayed there for the first time back in January. Knew time was running out and wanted to at least experience it before it was gone. Yes, it's old and outdated, but it just FEELS like old Vegas. Sad to see it go, bummed it's getting replaced with a baseball stadium. The whole south end of the strip has been getting overlooked for the last decade or so.

Thank you for this😊 As soon as I turned 21 in 1988 I went to Vegas and stayed at Tropicana and it was awesome❤ The Mirage was just being built 😂

I wonder if they will just let people come in and take what they want within some kind of order fashion once it closes. No point in throwing everything out. 2-19-24

they will probably have an auction like they did with the Riviera when it closed. Basically, they just let people roam the entire casino and hotel and take things down to a cash register to buy them if they wanted to.
