I did this in front of Wrigley Field because ALS is also known as Lou Gehrig Disease, Gehrig was of course the NY Yankee Hall of Famer who died of the disease, and he played at Wrigley. Gehrig first appeared at Wrigley as a high school junior when his New York team beat Lane Tech (about two miles west on Addison), in the top of the ninth Gehrig hit a Grand Slam out onto the street. He played at Wrigley again during the '32 and '38 World Series, the '32 Series is known for his teammate Ruth's alleged Called Shot and the '38 Series was just 2 1/2 years before his death at 37.
