This video provides step-by-step instruction as to how to serve at Mass. It is ideal for parishes training children in this important ministry.

Umm... carrying something excuses you from _genuflecting_ when you pass the Tabernacle (or bowing profoundly when passing the Altar), not from bowing entirely.

I really like the chasuble & the architecture but sadly I see that they are doing a lot of whatever they want to do in this parish as in most. I pray the "the Spirit of Vatican II" will be vanquished & that we will one day function in obedience to the Church's Magisterium, follow the documents of the Sacred Council, most especially the GIRM, & so forth. we will get there someday hopefully even if it takes another fifty years.

It's a shame they don't use altar bells.
@ProGamer-vk7yv7 жыл бұрын
yup luckily our church uses bells
@delmarramirez69403 жыл бұрын
I agree every parish should use the Sanctus bells just like TLM where it’s rung at the Sanctus, at each elevation during the consecration, and the genuflection after each consecration elevation. Communion should also be given on the tongue and altar rails if possible.

Where is the Deacon? Where is the Incense Where is the Asperges Me? Where are the bells? Where are the Patens for communion?
@morganm53705 жыл бұрын
Jorge De Pavía Obregón you don’t have to have a deacon at all masses (some parishes don’t have any assistant clergy) you wouldn’t have a deacon at a low mass or a simple sung mass, they are only needed at high mass. Some churches don’t use incense at every service, some reserve it for special occasions and seasons. You don’t have to have the Asperges (even in older rites you could omit it sometimes if needed).
@tuyetthanhtran97475 ай бұрын
It's not traditional latin mass. Asperges me is only omitted at latin mass. Although this is carelessly taken and they're are no host but just useless square bread stuff. There are no bells, and why is the chasuble openings connected like sleeves on a dalmatic?

why does my church in Malaysia only has guys not girls?
@roku4017 жыл бұрын
Pro Gamer That's how it's supposed to be.

cuz girls can never be servers they can only serve when no eligible male is available and must never ever step unto the sanctuary
@delmarramirez69403 жыл бұрын
Because this is in the USA. Americans feel like they have the right to do whatever they want otherwise it’s against their “right” so they implement this ideology in the church which is horrible

Leavened bread?
@TheMrJoltz9 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing too.
@123456789abcdefg4329 жыл бұрын
It's clearly forbidden in the G.I.R.M., yeah. Me too.
@burgundyyears8 жыл бұрын
+mathbau Really, have you all actually baked bread? That's not leavened bread. If you make bread sans leavening agents - it looks flat but still some thickness to it. Matzo and communion wafers are specially manufactured to be that thin.
@minorfriarop779 жыл бұрын
Why leavened bread? it is forbidden to use leavened bread in the latin rite
@burgundyyears8 жыл бұрын
+minor friar op That is pretty obviously not leavened bread. That is merely home baked unleavened bread. Leavened bread LOOKS leavened - it's not flat as a pancake!

This is a poor imitation of the Roman rites. It is full of abuses and makes me sad for the church.(Reply to this comment with as many abuses as you can). If any one reading this comment has a real interest in serving the church look up latin mass. God bless

I'm gonna start. 1. Female altar servers. 2. Improper dress code: shoes. 3. Hands are not in prayer position. 4. Is that really how the most reverent way of making the sign of the cross. 5. Synchronization is way off. 6. What is up with those hosts... I stopped watching after this
@thickschmeat75606 жыл бұрын
women servers are only allowed if no eligible males are present and they must never step unto the sanctuarry.

brandywineblue Well many churches, Roman Catholic and other denominations (Anglican etc) call the priest, the person who is mainly leading the service the president of presider or celebrant. It shows who is leading what. The three ranks of the sacred ministers at the Eucharist are: The celebrant (priest) The Deacon (a deacon or may be a priest serving the role, remember even once ordination to the priesthood they remain a deacon that doesn’t disappear) The sub-deacon (may be a deacon or a priest or a lay person, the sub-deacon often is a lay person who’ll also act as MC)

They don't use proper names for things such as the crucifer, lucifer, etc. They also wear albs and not cassocks and surplices. Not technically abuses but unfortunate none the less. I agree with most of the other comments. This is not a good video for training (though I welcome the effort and this is not to say anything bad about the people acting in it).
