I consume Alt Co. and their presentation lacked a little. The oil content in the milk is very low - almost negligible. Also, all kinds of milk have fat - take cow milk - where do you get butter and ghee from, your cheese (its simply fat). The only difference is that it comes from cow secretions and for oat milk, it comes from oil. Sunflower oil or coconut aren't even bad! Even our mothers' milk has fat (which is also oil). If you're a dairy consumer, you might be consuming so much fat without even noticing. So oat milk doesn't have it, so they can add a little oil to give the same mouthfeel - it's not harmful! But overall all FMCG takes time to become profitable, they have to burn a little first!

Unit economics was better represented by the circle graph... this listing takes out the intuitiveness out of math. I can do math and in fact quite efficiently but the circle graph made the significance of numbers a lot clearer, which would also be good for the masses.

Breakdown unit economics in the circle graph and write burn per product as statistic on the side. 2. Make another outer ring to the inner ring to display how much they are burning(to scale). 3. Overlap the previous stats with a red colored arc representing burn (to scale). But ofc I am only giving feedback, the show takes it or ignores it is the choice of the producers and the editing team.

Vegan ❌ Vegetarian ✅ India is highest exporter of Milk while Milk consumption in countries like US isn't as big as us. They want to us to noce to soya milk & that's why they produce such biased studies. They played same game with refined oil, calling it healthy & published bad reports about Coconut oil now we know how bas refined oil is. Likewise, Bad effects of Milk is very exaggerated & Desi A2 milk is very good as long as it's not adulterated. Pure A2 milk while nurturing our local breed should be our direction.

I think it was a good opportunity for a shark to buy in into this company. I'm a user of the brand and I personally prefer this one over the competitors. The POV regarding adding oils in the formulation was stupid from the sharks since these are right now the manufacturing standards. The only real issue I have with the brand is that their packaging design takes too much inspiration from Oatly.

The concept of using plant oils is very underestimated. Chemically every such thing is long chain polypeptides which can be processed to make different varieties. For eg mayonese is also made by processing oil but nobody takes it as a high oil product. We need better education to understand that oils are not that bad.

Wokring in well reknowned coffee brand in the uk all i know is the concept of alternate dairy milk will take a lot of time! once this booms the fssai and GOI will implement their own standards and set of regulations, which in compared to countries like the UK, US, Auss and other are already set. Not just dairy alternatives but the vegan and the free form i.e gluten free are all set and the brands develop their product in an around that. This business is not profitable in India as of now but we never know whats coming.

Lactose free milk is available and also Adulteration problem can easily be fixed. Oats, Soya and almond are eaten normally and cannot replace milk and plant based milk from these things can easily be made in home in pure form. 😂😂😂 To replace it with refined oil mixed with preservative plant based drink from company at high cost is foolishness.

Lactose intolerance: it happens due to persistent diarrhoea ( greater than 14 days ) due to which lactose enzyme decreases in the villi of intestine and now the digestion of lactose will be done by the bacteria which leads to lactic acid and h2 gas formation
