Taigatron, Waspinator, and Inferno are all male robots, but their alternate modes are female. I noticed that when I was a kid with Waspinator, I used to like grasshoppers. Initially the DNA scanner did not chose matching genders. Taigatron and Inferno didn't have a choice to begin with because they were unconscious after coming down in their stasis pods before awakening on Earth. However Waspinator was conscious when he chose a wasp queen for his alt mode.

I forgot put this in the video, but in Beast Machines, the female plant transformer Botanica, her protofrom body was the same model as Depth Charge's, so she has a male robot body that transforms into an alien plant? (Its a cost saving measure by Mainframe) Or is it the other way around? Depth Charge has Botanica's female body? Do protoform bodies even have genders? They lack certain organs, female and male characters use the same robot bodies so often throughout all of Transformers that I'd have to say gender is irrelevant when it comes to protoforms. Inferno often refers to Megatron as his queen. One time Megatron said about inferno, "Oh I like him, yesss!" So perhaps behind closed doors, Megatron really is Inferno's queen.
In Japanese culture, a falcon is seen as very masculine, so in the official Japanese dub of Beast Wars, Airazor is a male character instead. The Japanese writers didn't realize that later in the English series Taigatron and Airazor would become more close. The official statement from the Japanese studio was that Taigatron is his "Sensei", but the English writers meant more than that about Taigatron and Airazor. I've known that for over 10 years now. 2:39 In the Japanese dub, would that be "The man shall ride a tiger"? Would the names be, Bird Man, The Man, Bird Bot, Brother, Friend? The Japanese dub has taken a different direction in writing, so I don't know the names yet as I haven't seen the whole show in Japan. I've only found parts of a few episodes.
20:47 I've come to notice that in North American media made for younger audiences, when ever two people are about to get close, something terrible happens. It is over dramatized.
