Exactly, they were always like that, they release both heavy and uplifting, more "mellow" songs, and that's why i love them. They had a "mellow" album in One Day Remains (and I put these "" because they also had very heavy songs, such as Metalingus and such), with Open Your Eyes and In Loving Memory for example, they had Watch Over You in Blackbird's album, they had wonderful Life and Life Must Go On in AB III, they had All Ends Well in Forstess' album (which is regarded as their most progressive, heavy album, but it also had one) and now they have My Champion and You Will Be Remembered in Last Hero's album, they have space for everything, they write both heavy and uplifting songs, or even songs for you to cry a little, anyone who listens to In Loving Memory or Watch Over You (or Shed My Skin, which they do not sihg live but is still one of my absolute favourite songs of theirs, because it describes my life so well) can't say they don't feel the song or get a little choked up. Those are legendary songs, and they're not heavy, and that's ok, because heavy doesn't mean good, these songs prove it.

thats not a good sign to me. That was their softest album. Coure' d'Alene is a great song and so was slip to the void and words darker than their wings, but the rest was just meh to me. And Tremonti is my favorite band, alterbridge is in my top 3.

Dude, they have lots of heavy stuff on this album. Writings on the Wall, The Other Side (heaviest), Crows on a Wire, Island of Fools, and The Last Hero, as well as the B-side The Last of our Kind. Myles absolutely SHREDS throughout the album as well, it's freaking awesome!

I have the whole record, I must say this album would be the best selling of this year. The other side, poison in your veins, crows on a wire, island of fools, losing patience, shall blow your head off. On the other aspect, Twilight, Symphony of agony, cradle to the grave will make you fall in love with this band all over again.

I listen to heavy shit, I have never thought of Alter Bridge as heavy ever. However that ficking riff with the bass backing and the drum triplett is fucking heavy. I'm not a huge fan of the song but Damn well done Mark.

Edge is how I got introduced to Alter Bridge via Metalingus many years ago. Then I discovered so many gems - Isolation was my favorite for a long time. Hearing this theme combined with Edge's Wrestlemania 38 entrance has pushed this track to the forefront of my favorites! What a visual!🤘🏾🔥
