Now I’ve been in the mapping community since 2015 and this is one of the best mapping videos I’ve ever come across. You clearly know a lot of history and you used that to your advantage extremely well. I’ve never scene a goal system like that ether that’s pretty cool.

I’ve seen mapping since 2012 when it was personally really bad and over the years be seen very good mapping videos like an alternate future of the world by LV and this video and alternate history of Europe and many more! Even though all of them were great i still have this as a favourite no matter what!

I am just so impressed by how historically accurate the series starts out. The Russian Empire and Ottoman Empire were in decline and needed reforms, and Germany was indeed in a naval race with Great Britain. Great job!

This is the best mapping video ever and I’m sad that the series and eternom as a whole will not be continuing because he is revolutionary for the mapping community we need more people like eternom.

I would love to see more commentary from the smaller countries such as Luxembourg, Andorra and Monaco. Especially Luxembourg after being occupied by France. I really loved watching this video and hope to see more from you in the future.

You know what I find ironic about this? In your version, when Paris was claimed, all the French did was whine and cry(a bit like those stereotypical jokes). (Yes, I’m aware this is an alternate history, I’m just pointing out the irony.) While what actually happened, the French saw that a lot of royalist was at the National Assembly and immediately started a commune(Paris Commune) and rebelled(thus, resulting in the 3rd République). There was no hesitation and no second thoughts, they feared for their liberty, I mean, just look at what happened to King Louise XVI. They also saw letting the Prussians occupy their city as the ultimate betrayal so you could already see the rebellion in the horizon. When the Prussians/French Government tried to hijack the canons the National Guards had, the resistance immediately had jumped out and fought for months before over 20 000 was killed and thousands arrested. Though this historical attempted revolt failed, if the Commune alternatively chose to unleash their full ruthlessness(which we could see from several riots) and a few people who knew what to do, it would’ve ultimately won. Even though defeated, this revolution was the first recorded left wing revolutions and it literally sparked up visions on how a society can fight against suppression and monarchism. (It also made future French revolts much, much more anarchism-like and violent, but also extremely tactical and strategic compared to the past ones.) Although 20 000 was killed plus the 750 Government Guards, it was considered one of the *moderate* bloody revolts in history for its causes, but when you look at the time, it heads to a high. it sure tells you a lot about France’s revolutions, ay?
