Apologies for the lack of sound. I recommend playing some Hans Zimmer Man of Steel OST in the background :)
The Making of my 1:12 scale custom Superman figure based on the art of Lee Bermejo. His Superman is my favorite interpretation. The base body was a Marvel Legends Buck Captain America sculpted over with Aves FIXIT sculpt and painted with Citadel Acrylics.

I used acrylic paint to stiffen the fabric and to put the wrinkles and fold in as it dries. I also use pastel dust to brush over the skin tone to make it more realistic before going in with other details. A lot of 12 inch figure painters use that technique.

I am in awe as always. As someone who is new to customization, watching your vids really helps with the placement of the clay. Nowhere near your standard yet, but having a good time trying! My kids certainly seem to appreciate Daddies effort though and we get to spend quality time together making.

I use it because it makes a good frame when sanded down, I also like the 90 degree hips and it has solid articulation as well.

What kind of clay are you using? Does it harden as it dries? Does it get brittle? Where can I get the blank plastic armatures? You do brilliant work.

apoxy clay is good for making figures but it gets quite heavy after its done drying. blank figure bodys are quite expensive i use elite wwe figures for a base

yeah my friend music makes the biggest difference in these videos i had the same problem with one of my customs early on anyways amazing custom keep them coming im still hard at work with mine but detail detail detail right :) CHEERS
