Here in England (gods place) 😀😀😀 when joining two lines together I use the Albright knot. But I do like this knot well presented and clear to see shall give this one a go well done 👍👍👍

This is my go to knot over the FG! I have tested the Yucatan knot and it is battle tested on both the Gulf and Atlantic side of Florida!! 👍

Situations like those short window period of frenzy feeding and you burst your lines,and you knew you had to be fast! Or you have problems tying FG knot on a rocking boat.... It takes me about 10 seconds or so to tie one! This knot is excellent for vertical jigging, Hand line Fishing or even Casting (refer below) As such, it has a wider diameter compared to FG knot or PR knot . The wide diameter made it unsuitable for distance casting when your braid twister knot was within your rod ring guides system! It would hit your rod's ring guides at high speed when you cast! ALTERNATIVELY FOR CASTING, you can choose to shorten your leader to a length where your BT is not within your rod system and yet still able to cast. By doing so, you don't have to worry about the impact of your BT knot hitting your ring guides every time you cast!

Don’t melt the tag ends. I use a small drop of super glue to lock down the knots.

Where a this been all my life!!

I tried this knot, braid 20 pounds to fluoro 5 pounds for baitcaster, the knot slips, I tried with 10 pounds fluoro, same slip, I think the overhand additional loop should be on the fluoro side, that’s where I notice this knots fails.

Going to try this one next weekend. Looks easier to tie than the knot I'm currently using.

This knot looks so simple, until you get on the riverbank and you think you’ve got it sussed. But beware! The secret to a successful tie is to gradually cinch it down. Even though I’m still learning, it is my favourite and once mastered will become my personal favourite. Love the angle of camera too, being behind you when tying. Nice One!

My favorit FG KNOT and RELIX KNOT 😁🙏

This 2nd is the improved Yukatan and I agree you have to close it off with either half hitches, but better yet a rizutto knot. The old sportsfisherman guys will argue this knot doesn't slip but it does if you cut the tags right to the end and use proper knot tighteners to cinch it down more. What you end up is a swirl at the end of the mono/fluro indicating line slippage. It's better to test this with at least 65lb braid and mono/fluro so the line doesn't break before the line slip. I've had a lot of guys say I don't tie my Yukatan knots right so I show them, then I get them to tie theirs. Those that cut the tag ends close to the knot will always have line slip failure. You have to burn the mono/fluro end as shown in this video and close it off with a finshing knot and burn that braid tag end too.
