ran a campaign of this in highschool, it was episodic in nature...and people would just randomly show up to my house and be like hey can we play...ran 4 sessions in one week...and rotated characters in and out...the word of mouth is how everyone knew what was going on in the story as I think it had 10 or more people playing in the same time line...lol
