My only note would be... I might carry two or three twenties instead of a fifty. In this less-cash society, it's more likely that at a smaller store or in trade with a random person, the breaking of a larger bill is a bit of a harder ask. A small note but otherwise, I really like this.
@boydman68

Agreed. A lot of places, even larger gas chains, won't accept anything larger than a $20 bill.

If I could add something to this kit, it would be 2-3 folded up sticky notes just to have something to write on with the pencil. And maybe toss in a safety pin and a button compass if there’s extra space. Last thing I would add personally is a packet of alka seltzer in case I could really use some after a meal. But that’s only if there’s enough room for it. Great kit, overall well thought out

Some great ideas indeed & as you added the things we think we will never need. The key idea is something to consider as I recall once my mother & I got locked out the house after a gust of wind blew the back door closed when I was visiting. I kept a spare key in my wallet coin holder.

Another quality video. I like my Gerber Dime for a compact multi tool but it's always in my pocket already. Looks like you might be able to fit a couple lifeboat matches and striker in there too.

As far as the duck tape goes I had a good idea i feel like sharing, I took a credit card style card and glued two dime sized neodymium magnets to it before i wrapped it in tape and then stuck it to the back of the tin.

Good kit. I would definitely swap out the tool for the PS4 and I’d add some 200 lbs Kevlar string. Super compact and really strong. If you want to save space, there are single use super glue packs that have 5 or so packs for around $1.25 at Dollar Tree. I also carry a wood screw with the expanding sheetrock plastic cover. About the size of a nail but perfect if you need to mount something more securely. Finally, you can get a very small recharge phone cable. InCharge makes some great ones. If you want a small pouch instead of the tin, the Topo Designs micro accessory bag works well for me.

stuff some straws with those Q-tips and seal them shut using that bic lighter to keep them from getting dirty. Also, you can shove some camp soap, shampoo, or even a small fire starter in there. as a bug out, that is pretty handy for what you have, but I find that if I am stuck out in the middle of nowhere, it best be useful for stuff to keep alive with.

You may talk about this later in the video... but I would suggest you now change your door locks since you showed us the key. You also suggested to us that at least one of your doors pretty much never has a secondary lock in use. Perhaps this is all some sort of opsec misinformation though.

First, you are much better off with a Greendot Visa card or a Paypal Card as those cards are easier to reload and are acceptable at many more places than just Walmart. I would put the Key on a keyring with a small flashlight attached to the keyring. I would add some small nail clippers with a nailfile on it. And a small tube of mustache wax with a small moustache comb. A couple of Wetnaps, Some Altoids, and a small sewing kit, some wax coated thread. Plus I would have a braided paracord with small split rings to attach things to and some water proof matches and a small magnifying glass and tweezers.

I keep scalpel blades taped to flat surfaces instead of razor blades, if I will carry a razor (which I always do) it's in the form of a folding blade. Several years running, no jinx, my scalpal blades have not been detected by travel auth. As far as TSA-approved, while that is kind of a thing for locks, it's basically null and void when it comes to anything else. Each individual TSA agent has sole and total control. If Bob says you can't carry something, it doesn't matter what Alice says. Recently, btw, I realized that a boot knife I replaced and started to carry on my backpack made it all the way through security... twice. I had put it on one of my straps instead of my boot. I guess sometimes odd shapes are really helpful! Sure doesn't help me feel confident about the TSA though. Since you ask at the end... I would ditch that multitool for a Gerber Dime. Leatherman is a big brand, but lately, I keep getting more and more disappointed by their offerings. Gerber seems to be about 3:1 value:cost. Swap the single super glue for several smaller ones. Cyanoacrylate adhesive isn't known for being great for more than a single use per container. I actually do keep little tiny ones with me for this reason. I would swap the quarters for dimes because dimes are more multi-purpose being comprised of more zinc. Slightly more weight per cent value, but worth way more to me in usefulness. I would tape a SIM card ejector to the outside. Better than a paperclip, but I would keep the paperclip. Swap the whistle for an aluminium version. Swap the tooth cleaning thingies for floss, as you mentioned, for me though because it's more multi-purpose. Swap the pencil for mechanical pencil. Zebra makes some tiny ones. Swap the gum stick for some chic-let style with xanthan since it will not only function to freshen breath, but also to fight cavities. Swap the zip ties for premium ones that are meant to be reused. Swap the Altoids tin for something in plastic that will not rust and has a better seal. I could go on and on though... not meant to demean anything you carry or share with us all though, just because I'm possibly one of those extreme people... I carry maybe 15 pounds of things on my person and a 60# EDC bag. Feel free to ignore my comments.

I would probably throw the tiny multitool in my pocket and save space in the tin for other items. I'd also rather go with something more substantial like Knipex Cobra XS water pump pliers, which would not fit in the tin, but go in my pocket. Just a bit more substantial pliers for rusted and stripped bolts (I've run into those in the past). Pair the Knipex with a Leatherman Micra? Is that the only multitool you'd have on you? If so, I'd definitely go for a bigger one. I ran into situations where I needed a bigger wood saw, wirecutters, etc. But that's just me I guess.🤷‍♂️ I'd put in a little packet or two of isopropyl alcohol, to clean a cut before putting the bandaid on. You can wipe hands down after touching something questionable as well. I try to never touch things in public unless I really have to. I open doorknobs with a piece of tissue, and especially use paper towels to close faucet knobs and open doorknobs in public bathrooms after washing my hands. Never know what's on those things. 🤢 I'd probably carry a few pair of disposable plastic gloves, food grade, just for that purpose as well. They fold down very thin. I'd definitely include Aspirin in case someone is having a heart attack, not for me personally. I try not to take painkillers if I have a headache because the headache is not bad, but whatever is causing the headache (alarm) is bad, and I need to find out what is causing it and stop deal with that. Numbing the pain of a headache (as one example) is like taking your smoke alarm down when you hear it go off because it's annoying your ears, instead of finding out what is setting the alarm off. 🤔😉 I'd maybe get some Velcro strips with sticky tape on the back of each piece. Those can come in handy if you want to stick an item to another item.
