I strongly suggest if you don’t have any experience don’t do this.. lots of things can happen specially if the tank had flammable stuff inside!! Stay safe guys

I did tank repairs for 3 years in west Tx, we would always pressure wash them and open as many manways as possible and use a 4 gas

Te falto explicar que para hacer una reparación asi debes tener un procedimiento de trabajo aprobado por un momento inspector de soldadura.

I work on these and before we even bring them into the shop we “sniff” them with a multi gas detector to make sure they aren’t explosive before we even touch it

Yes well they washed the tank but we are not in charge of that , the company that hired us did it

Pepis, you got any tips for 5G tig for feeding wire under at 6 o’clock? I’ve been struggling with my root looking flush at the bottom 😔

Back feed it bro and lower down the temperature maybe your speed is slower than the heat you running

They washed the tank. Every time you weld on a tank or something like that it needs to be washed for safety purposes, I didn’t the company did

Man, I lost a good friend back in September bc he did not purge the tank. Saw this video and it gave me chills. Good work, but I wished you would’ve showed yourself using a sniffer when you did this. My friend was a 20 yr veteran as a welder, but it only takes one mistake or mis-step. Stay safe out there.

You are right I didn’t had the sniffer on me but you go have to use one everytime you weld on something like that
