So many people say that Hermit is OP, but honestly, if survivors play well, he can't do anything. It is pretty clear from this video, and your comment that the horrible polarity plays and shameless short kites, as well as well done polarity plays on Bleber's side played a lot into the hunter victory. I'm so tired of survivors asking for nerfs on balanced/weak-ish hunters 😮‍💨

@@MeltedSnowySummer if your hunter can't be sanely played if a certain survivor is in the match (doctor in hermit's case, but barmaid can work too if survs are efficient) it's not a strong hunter photographer/hermit would be in a good enough spot if accelerated decoding didn't exist and they had aura read on survivors downed by their power - maaaybe hermit mimicking photo's 75% damage attacks instead

@@Evalora I agree completely. They should buff both Hermit and Joseph to be able to see a person downed by their abilities, maybe for 3 sec, then it disappears. I think that accelerate decoding should only exist on low tiers, such as bee to mammoth, where some people still don't understand the importance of focusing on decoding and cease existing once you reach griffin. Alva would benefit from a 75% damage output, instead of the 60% he deals, but I don't know if many survivor mains would be happy with that happening. It would be more fun and challenging as a surv main it'd make things more high stakes, I personally would love that.

@@MeltedSnowySummer it's mainly that damage sharing is for the most part a mechanic that punishes hermit when it's supposed to be like an actual strength, +20% net damage dealt is nothing compared to a few 4-way splits that do basically nothing (two 3-way splits at least sets three survivors to a 1-shot unhealable state if the next hit isn't split but no sane team will ever let this happen) photographer actually does force you to put up with his amplified damage in a big way and gets far more 'free' hits than hermit ever could all the while not being completely globally hardcountered by a survivor like doctor - she can of course nix the chip hits that photo relies on to prematurely stuff rescues if she meets up with someone but not globally infinitely sap part of his damage away while decoding anyway, 3 sec is nothing and hardly enough time to judge someone's location for most people, an aura read on people downed by photo/hermit should be permanent until they're up again - if you're going down to photo you have all the time in the world to go to the most obnoxious place in the map to make him outright not even want to come to you, and you should be avoiding going down to hermit spikes at all costs which is standard practice already in good matches

@@Evalora you put into words what I was never able to. Exactly. The damage share mechanic works as more of a punishment than an aid to Hermit. It takes far too long for a down when a team is able to share correctly. Or the game just flat out works against him. I watched a video where a mechanic took a terror shock detention hit, she was not at 100% health (had maybe 10% damage) but was sharing polarity with one other person (bot had been eliminated). Therefore she took about 200% damage, but no one went down, and the hunter got a tie instead of a win (which is what should've happened, a win). A merc can tank a detention hit, cuz he can take an 100% dmg at full health, but goes down immediately if he gets terror shocked on detention, however a mechanic of all things just got out unscathed because the remainder of the damage literally poofed onto non existence. I think that the devs should rework Hermit and Joseph to make their game play way more consistent. Adding the aura read until the survivor gets back up would be great ngl, as well as buff Hermit's dmg output to 75% instead of 60%, and for Joseph, they should rework his locate card trick in order to not show survivors on chairs, that is just unfair.
