Introduced by Tina Cole, Liza Rey, Jamie Conkling and Cam Clarke - The King Sisters perform "(I've Got a Girl In) Kalamzoo", "Tiger Rag" and "Guitar Boogie" with the Alvino Rey Orchestra.
Alvino introduces luminaries that were originally part of his band such as Nelson Riddle, Billy May, Ray Conniff, Jimmy Joyce, Jerry Fielding and Frank DeVol.

Find the book titled Those Swinging Years written by Luise King Rey (Alvino's wife). She wrote it in 1983. I have read it twice because it's a very interesting read about the King family history as well as for her vivid recollections of the music industry throughout the years.

FINALLY!!!...Some video with Alvino playing his white Fender Jaguar!!..I'm a guitarist, and as a kid, LOVED sitting in front of the tv watching Alvino Rey PLAY that white guitar! I've tried to find footage of him with that for years! PLEASE POST some more of him playing his guitar from your show, will you?... I sure hope you do!!!...

Great job! I remember this wonderful episode of the series with great fondness, and seeing it again evokes, as with all your videos, very warm feelings. The ending really brought a tear to my eye. Thank you, King Family!

This was really something! I would love to learn more about the King Sisters and Alvino Rey. There's not much information I could find.
