I think Sheridan and Abbey, the "new" girls, boosted their sound. Not only are they technically impressive, but also their backing vocals are something remarkable.

anyone know how they got that wild, warping, whooshing effect at around 2:18 ? seems like it's more than just an effect on the lead guitar.....is it a sound from the keyboard? much obliged..

If I had to guess, I'd say it's some sort of sweep filter/delay on the lead guitar.

What's up with the permasmile on drums. Bit wierd but she played well. The last chord from the guitar was way off musically (kind of anticlimactically ruined the song). The thing keeping everything together was the smart looking librarian lady with the killer back up vocals along with the humble bassist nailing it down. They are the unsung heros of this band for certain.

Weird changes. Alec must feel like he's only there on borrowed time at this point but strange to have some instruments in high-fidelity while using the lo-fi in others, just weird. Also, meh

I don't hate anyone, but I do understand the unauthenticity of the perma smiling can be a bit strange.
