Every song Elvis sang, he sang from his heart. You can tell here that he is thinking about Priscilla while singing this. There is a big difference just singing a song without feeling it, putting any emotion into it etc, like some people do, but Elvis was different, always sang with meaning and emotion, putting his heart into it, and also putting his mind in a place where he could relate to the song, and that makes a big difference in what we hear, and why every time we listen to Elvis, the hairs on our bodies stand up and we get goosebumps from his voice. Elvis will never be forgotten.

I am not buying the sentiment that Elvis was always thinking of Priscilla just because he sang a touching ballad. Give this fallacy a rest. If he had cared so much about her, then he wouldn't have cheated on her every chance he got. I get so sick and tired of the endless Elvis documentaries that haul out the same half a dozen 8mm 'home movie' clips of Elvis and Priscilla during happy times. Elvis was a great artist, but he was emotionally immature beyond belief. Elvis fanatics seemed to believe that just because he had a great talent, that that gave him the right to do women as he damn well pleased. Elvis 'chose' Priscilla when she was a little girl, and the way HE was allowed to carefully 'groom' her to eventually become his wife was not only perverted it was downright criminal! Would any man alive on this planet be able to get away with this today? I think not.

He sang it from the heart for his loved wife

He loved her, but by the time he realized it, she was gone and it was too late. I grew up with Elvis and Priscilla. Bless his heart, he died loving her, but it was too late.

@@lauraphilyaw6879 - His affairs with other women destroyed his marriage. He wasn't the best at communicating with Priscilla, as he was at performing his music. Sadly, he let his ego ruin his marriage. He had everything he needed in his wife. The grass is never greener elsewhere. Especially, when he had a child with her.... JMHO.

Most everything he sang came deeply from his heart and soul I think that's what makes him so unique in that kind of entertainment world!!! He is the best ♥️♥️

I think Elvis was doing a catharsis and telling everything he was feeling in his soul. God bless him wherever he is.

Dennis Herger I’m 60 years old and I’m from Switzerland (Lucerne), I’ve been listening to Elvis since I was 10 years old, I watched Elvis' live concert in Hawaii in 1973. I appreciate many kinds of good music, I also know all the songs of Johnny Cash and June Carter (Great) and other great artists. However, Elvis remains the greatest musician and entertainer of all time, but in all his songs, all the power of his soul comes out. One could also say that he gave his whole heart to his listeners. This way is definitely unique and I think it will remain so. Denis Herger

Maybe I didn't treat you Quite as good as I should have Maybe I didn't love you Quite as often as I could have Little things I should have said and done I just never took the time You were always on my mind You were always on my mind Maybe I didn't hold you All those lonely, lonely times And I guess I never told you I'm so happy that you're mine If I made you feel second best Girl I'm so sorry, I was blind You were always on my mind You were always on my mind Tell me Tell me that your sweet love hasn't died Give me Give me one more chance to keep you satisfied Satisfied Little things I should have said and done I just never took the time You were always on my mind You were always on my mind You were always on my mind Maybe I didn't treat you Quite as good as I should have Maybe I didn't love you Quite as often as I could have Maybe I didn't hold you All those lonely, lonely times And I guess I never told you I'm so happy that you're mine

Used to play in a band back in the 70's and early 80's and still remember the day when they announced that he had passed away, was driving in my car as a 19 yr old, Still listen to his videos and play his music to this day, will never forget him..
