Umer Akhtar No, his partner in crime is. IF you google photos of Aly and Fila, it's the other guy always with Fadi who's deaf.. Unfortunately at a live show, one of the speakers malfunctioned and permanently damaged his hearing, he can still hear but only at very low volumes so that he doesn't lose his hearing completely. That's why you barely see him do shows with Fadi any more, however I believe he does all the Future Sound of Egypt episodes which are amazing every week.

I meant Ali. I've seen an Aly & Fila show and only Fadi was there as Ali is rarely there unless it's a bigger event. I didn't realize Ali still produces though

Umer Akhtar Yes, they are both excellent producers. Ali plays at their live shows in Egypt, I was there for the ilive show at the Pyramids of Giza! They had light show on the pyramids and Ali and Fadi on stage. IT was amazing. They are truly legends in trance!

This what it's about guys who have not compromised on their sound because it's more profitable to water it down. Guys who with a handful of others believe in what they're doing for the love of the music. Playing a set that gets people moving as opposed to jumping on the mic every second breakdown to tell people to get ready to jump. Aly & Fila are top class in that respect.

What can I say. The man clearly has enough money at this stage but he's still playing rubbish during most sets. If he really cared about Trance he would'not care and would try and educate all the people at these main stage events.

@@samnaghten4951 about that, A state of trance is only just armin’s branding and doesn’t really reflect just the trance that you are familiar with and prefer. And besides, this edm rubbish that armin’s playing is actually a part time job for him. I had the honor of talking on solarstone’s twitch chat during an episode of Pure Trance Radio, and I asked him how uplifting trance dj’s make as much money as those who “sold out?” And he responded “they have a part time job” and the twitch chat agreed with him. How do you think you’d be able to afford the internet and devices you bought to write that comment if you didn’t have a job? Let me save you the trouble, you wouldn’t have a device or WiFi if you didn’t have money or a job. I respect your opinion though

En mi opinion el trance si es una mierda. Mueve masas de personas que pagan una entrada a un recinto para ver a un pelao pinchar discos. Donde me e perdido? Yo pago para ver un grupo tocar sus instrumetos y el vocal desgarrarse la voz para deleitar a los que van al concierto, pero un personaje que solo pincha discos y ni siquiera hace el la musicaa o el ruido, por que si esto es musica, venga Tutaquis y lo escuche.

Aly and Fila are definitely the best modern day trance performers in the last decade! The mixes are on point and smooth as hell! I listen to this set at least once a week and still get goose bumps. 😊

xxfogartinixx Tienes razon en que los sets de pryda y el raton no fueron la esencia del evento, pero fuera de eso, estuvieron muy buenos los sets, la gente reacciono muy bien e incluso me atrevo a decir, que aunque no hayan mezclado trance, los sets de pryda, el raton y de aly & fila fueron los mejores del ASOTMIA, por que esa es la labor de un DJ, deben de hacer que lo que esten pinchando le guste al publico, no mezclar lo que a los fans les guste. Por eso mis respetos para Deadmau5 y Pryda. PD: Deadmau5 se la mamò cuando puso Motorhead. xDD

Its extremely rare for me to comment on the content that I view on KZfaq, but this is hands down one of the most solid "Trance" sets that I've ever seen at Ultra. Fila is so emotional and in touch with his music! For me, an Eric Prydz style light show, and it would be catapulted into Ultra heaven!
