Haven't seen come off the beam in years, but the moment she came off it was all attack. She fought back hard, almost like she was pissed. And as always that Patterson was on point. Say what you want about Aly, but you can't deny the girl is a fighter.

I love how determined she is. She stuck the routine so well after that fall.

In the many years she's been a senior, never seen her fall. Wobble, touch hands to the beam, yes. But a downright fall? Never. It seems like there was something in the water in the Day 1 with all these fall,s even to the point that she was affected. Her determination after the fall was impeccable and it really goes to show how much of a fighter she is. And this being the first event of the day. she came back and did great on all her other events. Hope she comes out and does a great routine on Day 2. Were all rooting for you Aly!

Still a good routine! OMG! She really improved a lot! Much cleaner and the flow is good! The fall happened because she was just too rush for that connection! Really hope she could win a AA medal at Rio, and hope she can adjust her toe point and knee posture for a better beam routine!

I died inside when she fell on that leap. Damnn the amount of falls today were insane!!! Podium training went baad and I hoped everyone would get their jitters out by the time comp came around. Hopeful Day 2 goes better. Especially for Kyla

Super Gymnast I think a lot of the girls seemed really nervous. I'm sure they're feeling enormous pressure at these Championships.

Super Gymnast This was the same 4 years ago. The year before the olympics tends to be a catastrophe

i honestly feel like she should have scored in the 14.00's. besides the fall and not fully twisting on that leap and the clean hop the rest of the routine was good and she didn't seem to wobble. She was very focused and didn't fall apart after her big fall. Brestyan's girls get back up and drill the rest of their routine, #Asac.

Ah her pike form looks so much better here, too! Why is her form regressing on this skill? It makes me so nervous for her score. I want Aly to do well, and I'm afraid of her beam score getting hammered again on the World stage.

I wish she'd wear her hair in a sock bun it would add to the new elegance in her. It's early great beam set when she gets it which she will. It's all there :)

She should drop this connection its to risky and connecting out the layout is crazy. She was so focused on making the connection that she had a bad landing on the layout.

I hate Aly's back handspring layout. It's so ugly., because her knees are bent. RAGAN SMITH PLEASE TEACH ALY HOW TO DO THE BHS LAYOUT.

Her time isn't over,it never was over. She's silver AA medalist at the Olympics now. Everyone makes mistakes.
