What is Alzheimer disease? Alzheimer disease, often called Alzheimer's disease by the public, is a neurodegenerative disease that leads to symptoms of dementia. Progression of Alzheimer disease is thought to involve an accumulation of beta-amyloid plaque and neurofibrillary tangles in the brain. This video covers the mechanisms and pathophysiology thought to contribute to Alzheimer disease, including a definitions of sporadic as well as familial Alzheimer disease, common signs and symptoms, and diagnosis.

If you liked this video, you may also be interested in research that looks at possible root causes for Alzheimer's! Check out the work of Dr. Dale Bredesen. He had a 2018 study in the Journal of Alzheimers Disease & Parkinsonism. The study is titled: "Reversal of Cognitive Decline: 100 patients." It's fascinating stuff!

So what causes beta-secretase to react with APP, instead of alpha-secretase as it should have normally been?
@worthlessprofessor6477
@worthlessprofessor6477 4 жыл бұрын
Dale Bredesen argues that APP is a dependence receptor, which means that if it gets the trophic support it needs (Netrin-1), then it is cut in the beneficial way. If it doesn't get what it needs, it gets cut with beta-secretase into the amyloid producing peptides. Bredesen also argues that APP is not just a regular dependence receptor, but a big boss receptor keeping tabs on a lot of different things going on, esp. whether there is enough trophic support to keep brain functions going. It makes a lot of sense, and I recently made a video going over Bredesen's work on APP as well as another video exploring Bredesen's three main subtypes of Alzheimer's: Inflammation, Atrophic, and Toxic exposure. All three are connected to how APP gets cut. I'm sure will learn even more about how and why APP functions the way it does, but for the moment, Bredesen has done some really cool work with treatments reversing Alzheimer's with a nuanced multifaceted approach.

What if your in your mid 30's and having problems? My memory is getting bad. I will completely blank out and can't spell a certain word. I am having more problems remembering peoples names. I am forgetting things people tell me a lot. I could be asked to do something different at work and I completely forget it. I am forgetting conversations I have had with people. I can be typing an e-mail and just blank out on what I am writing about.

There are different reasons for cognitive decline, but Dale Bredesen has done some really neat work on it. His ReCode protocol has helped many people, and there may be a physician trained to help see what may be causing it. His book, "The End of Alzheimer's" is really helpful, and there are a lot of good interviews with him on youtube. I hope you can find someone who can help!

The question that we have to ask ourselves these days is whether the Amyloid B and the Tau tangles are the cause of the disease or do they accumulate to try to protect the brain from all sorts of inflammatory substances such as HPV1, P Gingivalis, Herpes Zoster, Enterotoxins, Heavy Metals, Mould, etc., etc. Generally speaking trying to remove the Amyloid and Tau, so far seem only to slow the decline, they don’t reverse the disease…!! It seems to me to be high time ditch the old hypothesis and to ‘think outside of the box’… How about the Lipopolysaccharides leaking out of the bowel and the damage that they cause…?

Hello everyone, everything good? Alzheimer's improves or cures with a dietary supplement from a company called Omnilife, autohemotherapy, or ozone therapy. Even a spice called saffron, in the right amount helps to improve or reverse. Alzheimer's is an inflammation in the brain. Hope that helps and hugs!
