Love the video. When you do another craft guide like this could you show known items that have been made to show the true optional to the audience?

Sadly still don't have an example of "peak realistic" for all of them - since most I've done of many of them is a few hundred for "good enough" items, only ones I've crafted thousands of do I have "top tier" examples of (Caster ammies being the biggest example) - though I will try if resources allow (unfortunately not as easy as searching for an image of one either, since you'll often come across cheated ones with like 4 prefix features or all perfect stats and such - which are unrealistic expectations)

Finally someone saying "PvE" and not "PvM" - A big like just for that.

lol, I swap between the two - just depending on my mood when recording sadly - PvE is what I grew up on (Player vs Enemy/Player vs Environment, depending on the game) - so doubt I'll ever stop using it... though PvM generally is easier to differentiate audio-wise (PvM vs PvP - compared to PvE vs PvP)

@@Alzorath I guess you played something like WoW or something else back in the day. Maybe it's on me. But for me: PvP was always against real people, PvE vs. the AI sorta say. Love your videos btw. Always watching some when I have breakfast. Kudos.

I never crafted a belt in 20 years, the competition is very strong for that slot. Weirdly enough I did craft a bunch of blood helms for a very niche build. In a dream scenario blood helm could get 10 deadly strike, visionary mod, 2 sockets, life, FHR, and resist. I think it can actually be best in slot for some builds, or at least give uniques and G-face a run for their money.

The fun thing about crafted items, is there really is a niche use for a lot of them, especially for weird builds.

With the Horadric Cube, does it matter in which sequence you put the items in? And for those recipes, is that exact belt/pair of gloves/boots necessary to get that result? Or does any other work?

order doesn't matter - they can be loaded in the cube in any sequence you want as long as it's the right base, gem, rune, and jewel. Specific 'base' of item does matter (ie the normal/exceptional/elite of one type is required - you can't say, use a gauntlet to make a caster glove). But Jewel can be whatever jewel you have (it effects the RNG seed, but that's not really able to be manipulated in any real way, only the ilvl of the item and the level of the crafter impact what can be rolled)

rare rings > crafted rings. Rare can get 6 affixes: (1) life steal (suffix) 9% (2) mana steal (suffix) 9% (3,4,5) tri resist (prefixes) 30% each (6) Strength (suffix) +20 (use this for +20 vitality after respec = 40+ life) Crafted can get 4 extra prefixes: life steal 1-3% (Always) life 10-20 (Always) strength 1-5 (Always) (use this for +5 vitality after respec = 10+ life) (1) mana steal (suffix )9% (2,3,4) tri resist (prefixes) 30% each As you can see, the rare ring is purely better. The one exception is if you want a 12% life steal ring. You would have to reduce your HP (or other affix) though. I can't see any reason why this would actually be better. Alternative desirable affixes (for reference): Attack Rating (prefix) +120 Resist All (prefix) 11% Magic Find (prefix) 10% Minimum damage (suffix) Maximum damage (suffix) Life (suffix) +40 Magic Find (suffix) 15% Faster Cast Rate (suffix) 10% You could have included blood boots on your guide because they are the only way to get life steal on boots. Alternative items won't ever be purely better (unlike blood rings). However, you have to sacrifice Gores/Goblin Toe/Travs.

generally in builds that need lifeleech gores/toe are better tools (unless you need res-boots), travs are generally just all-round good boots (both casters and phys damage dealers have use for them). As far as why blood rings make the list for most players is because they are an extremely consistent method of getting dual leech rings with usually decent stats. And Crafted, unlike rares, can be forced to max affix (ilvl 71+) - rares have a random distribution (it's not evenly split, with 5 affix being the most common once ilvl is high enough). The reality is, there are "better in slot" for most (not all) crafted items, but they are a way to force more consistent item opportunities. The exceptions being unique-in-slot effects (2/20 amulets, block amulets, etc. ), where that can be the optimal source for these effects in specific builds, that said, there's almost always an alternative source for these effects as well.
