I am a big fan of the Welsh slate landscape. With views like this it's no wonder it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Come with me for a walk around a very small part of Dinorwig Quarry. The place is absolutely massive and this video doesn't do it justice. It's very hard to imagine how busy this place must've been. For example, where you now see the abandoned Mill 3 - there was also at least two other mills around the corner. All of it now gone.
I always find it quite emotional walking around these places I must admit. To think of all the men who worked here to roof the world and for all of it now to be left to go to ruin.
