Sounds like some twerp has made you doubt yourself, you’ve only gotten better and better with products we have to periodically replace. Even products that I cannot use, it’s interesting to read comments from people who have and share their experiences. You make it entertaining and spice it up with Bailey and guest hosts👍🏻💕✅🏆

I dont think you're feeding into consumerism, if anything, he is allowing consumers to see real-world usage of items that many people might use, or might be interested and not know what to get. Keep up the great work and service you provide to your viewers!

Yeah. There's a big difference between buying things just to own them (and encouraging others to do the same), and just loving gadgets. This is really just an engineering channel in disguise, with all the love of cool mechanisms and unique ideas. It's more akin to something like Technology Connections than some vapid "influencer" nonsense.

You are definitely helping consumers. I have lived below the poverty line all my lie (I'm 71), and can't afford to try all the new stuff. You - and Vivien Tries - let me know what would be a waste of my money so I don't have to waste mine. Different reviewers have different approaches and I appreciate that.

I think you'll find that consumerism exists because of promotion and participation. God, these mental gymnastics people do to avoid confronting their own icky feelings are nuts. If there's nothing wrong then no counterintuitive explanation is needed, right?

@@BrittMFH I presumed she was a lady but was only addressing the aspect that was attached since she called herself an "old lady." How did you read it? She said: "Hello from Indiana USA and this 63 year old lady." I mean it could have been written by someone else next to a 63 year old lady as they used the word "and" rather than just "this." If it were read another way it would have been punctuated as "63-year-old." I just addressed the word "old" baby. ha, ha, ha...

If you review a product well and it breaks right away after I'd love you to post an emergency update video just highlighting how it failed you and the bad customer experiences you may have had! Show those shady companies who they are messing with. :)

I'm down for this. I'm not much into Shorts content but I think this kind of update would be perfect! It wouldn't require much effort to produce and shouldn't hinder the update videos. My concern though is would be about whether or not enough people would watch them for any real benefit. I'm sure James would have the information to better determine that and maybe including an update description/pinned comment would gain traction.

For me personally your videos fulfill my curiosity about a product, a curiosity that stems from back when I was a little kid watching TV and seeing all the wacky products being advertised, I was almost never able to buy them but whenever I was I was usually underwhelmed but every now and then someone has a great idea and a great product as a result, but, most of the time that product isn't meant for me so I just don't buy it, your channel makes the discovery of the good products easier, answering the question, is this product actually useful? You essentially take the testing burden off of the consumers which is overall a good thing in my opinion

I often use KZfaq videos to make educated purchases. Project Farm has influenced a numerous amount of my decisions. Like you, he does not accept sponsorships either. The world at large feeds consumerism! Even cells consume, and utilize, then grow. The question becomes what to consume, how to utilize it, then grow from the experience. I try to stay away from things that are not useful or productive.

I've watched pretty much every new video you've put out since I first found your channel, even though manyof the things you review aren't things I'd buy. The ones that make me scratch my BALD head the most are some of the big, single-use items, such as donut makers, waffle makers, etc. I just always immediately think of the storage space such things take up versus how much I'd use them. Like you said on the donut maker...if I want donuts, I'll go buy them. I actually use most of the kitchen appliances I own at least once a week, and some I use practically daily.
