Girl, we are exactly the same with the pet situation. I haven't been to church in a month and a half due to my fur-son all of a sudden becoming paralyzed in the back. I screamed and cussed cause the second vet that we took him to said that we should put him down or be out of thousands of dollars trying to figure out what happened to him. We finally found one that helped him with medication until we could figure out what we were going to do, and as soon as we purchased him a wheelchair, he got up and started walking himself. He still slides a little bit, but overall, God said that he wasn't ready for me to experience that kind of pain right now. Amen, thank you, Lord.

Girl, I had an episode with my house dog last week (Reece). He wouldn't eat for two days. My husband called me Monday morning when I got to work saying he (Reece) is just laying there. It scared me to death!!! I rushed back home (7 mins away). He wouldn't go to his bowl at all. His allergies are really bad this season. He had scratched all his paws RAW. I had to get a refill of his allergies meds, hand feed him and take care of his wounds. I was like OMG, it is so like having another baby. These dogs, lol. We love them!

Adrianne, it sounds like you have PTSD from seeing traumatizing events. Even if they have been small ones they still affect people differently but it happens. I know how it feels personally and it feels as though it happened to you the way it makes you feel when it plays like a record in your mind. I hope you're able to find coping skills for this.
