People were content, life was slow, people took it easy, were much closer to each other and no technology to interfere in our daily lives. Today even with a package of 15 lakhs people are not content

Why don't we make movies like this anymore? Movies that make us happy and have a positive lingering effect. Movies that uplift you. Make you realise how beautifully we can live as a society - helping each other. True friendship, brother- sister relationship, mama-bhanja etc. Showed this to my soon to be 10 year old son yesterday and he loved it. Hope he develops a good taste in art and cinema. And yes, Hrishikesh Mukherjee was a legend.

I watched this movie more than 30 times and everytime I enjoyed it. Hrishikesh mukherjee was true legend and one of the best director. His all movies like chupke chupke, Anand, Golmaal, bawarchi, Namak Haram, Guddi, Mili, Abhimaan, Anupama, Khubsoorat, Naram Garam, bemisal etc etc were masterpiece. He was genius directors. Thanks to hrishikesh da for making so great movies and we are still watching his movies with out getting bored. Love u hrishikesh da❤

I had watched this movie at the age of 11 and today after 40 years i watched it for the second time. Memories are so fresh. Utpal Dattji, David sirji were in their mid or late fifties and they were enjoying their lives then. Now at 51 i feel that the life is over. Carrying too many old memories is also painful. That era was so nice. Simple and respectful people. No smartphones, no internet. Life was beautiful. Can't forget those days. Missing late parents with whom i had enjoyed this movie.

From the script, songs, acting, everything comes together so beautifully. Clean entertainment at its best. It’s a pity they don’t make movies like these anymore. Everyone associated with this movie is a legend- Hrishida, Amol, Utpalda, and of course Kishoreda. Pure magic!!!

This is an iconic movie. Evey department was awesome. Manju Singh was also very good in a simple role. But, no one seems to be talking about Dina Pathak. She played a pivotal role and was too good. The movie will never get old. This is the speciality of the great Hrishikesh Mukherjee.

The best thing is that I watched this movie n numbers of time with my whole family and specially with my father. Missing those beautiful days. Saturday matinee at Doordarshan what a weekend for us. Pure comedy without any vulgarity nudity. I love all classic comedy movies. This era was of comedy movies like Golmal, Seedhi baat, era was of Hrishikesh Mukherjee sir. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
