ഒരു ദിവസം ഏറ്റവും ദരിദ്രരായ ജനങ്ങളാല്‍ എന്‍റെ രാജ്യത്തെ അരാഷ്ട്രീയ ബുദ്ധിജീവികള്‍ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടും. ഏകാന്തവും ചെറുതുമായ ഒരു ജ്വാല പോലെ രാജ്യം ക്രമേണ മരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോള്‍ എന്ത് ചെയ്തു എന്നവര്‍ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടും അവരുടെ വസ്ത്രങ്ങളെ പറ്റി,ഉച്ചയൂണിനു ശേഷമുള്ള നീണ്ട പകലുറക്കത്തെപ്പറ്റി അവരോടാരും ചോദിക്കില്ല. ശൂന്യതയെ ചൊല്ലിയുള്ള അവരുടെ പൊള്ള തര്‍ക്കങ്ങളെ പറ്റി ഒരാളും നാളെ അന്വേഷിക്കില്ല. അവരുടെ സാമ്പത്തിക പദവിയെ ആരും കൂട്ടാക്കില്ല. ഗ്രീക്ക് പുരാണങ്ങളെ പറ്റി അവര്‍ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടില്ല. ഭീരുവെപ്പോലെ അവരിലൊരുത്തന്‍ തൂങ്ങിച്ചാവുമ്പോള്‍ അവരനുഭവിക്കുന്ന ആത്മ വിദ്വെഷത്തെപ്പറ്റി അവര്‍ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടില്ല. ഒരു ദിവസം ഏറ്റവും ദരിദ്രരായ ജനങ്ങളാല്‍ എന്‍റെ രാജ്യത്തിലെ അരാഷ്ട്രീയ ബുദ്ധിജീവികള്‍ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടും.

ഒരു വീട് വാർത്തു കഴിഞ്ഞു. വീട് ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ ഉപയോഗിച്ച, തൂമ്പ. സിമെന്റ് ചട്ടികൾ. ഇല്ലി മുളകൾ. പലകകൾ. ഇരുമ്പ് ഷീറ്റ്കൾ ഒക്കെ ആ പരിസരത്ത് പിന്നെ കാണുന്നത്. ആ വീട്ടുകാർക്ക് ഇഷ്ടം അല്ല. അത് പോലെ ആ വീട് പണിത, തൊഴിലാളികളും. പിന്നെ അവിടെ കാണില്ല.

Thanq v v much for uploading this great movie with english subtitles and becoz of this, we, non Malayalam speakers cud enjoy this precious gem of Indian cinema. Don't kno how to thank u. Malayalam cinema has an incredible repertoire of art films and parallel cinema but hardly a few r provided with english subtitles...plz think over it....do something on this....we , from different parts of India , don't wish to b deprived of these outstanding films. Plz consider our earnest request. Nirmalyam, Chidambaram, all Shaji n Karun movies, all Aravindan movies r priorities
