FYI everyone, there is 5 different shapes for pentatonic playing. He’s using a mix of them and the scale he showed was position 1. Position 1 is a great place to start, however, venturing into all 5 for whichever key you’re playing in opens up different possibilities and voices.

Here's several ideas for blues jam tracks: take advantage of done for you tracks outlines. Try it out in front of a few people and ask for tips and advice. (I learned about these and more from Makale jam plan website )

I've been practicing that Jeff beck style repeating bend to get myself familiar with the intonation, Guthrie govan is a good one to watch for someone struggling with bends. This channel is great for learning how to put it into action.

you are correct. i know this is old comment but I wanted to say, for the sake of understanding music better and helping yourself relate the scale/keys/progressions better, stop looking at a fretboard as strings 1-6 and frets 0-24. he is bending D to E. you could play the same lick an octave lower by starting on the 7th fret of the 3rd string. still a full step bend D to E still in key.

At around 6:07 you mention a 'hard' part, you can solve this by holding the bend (7th fret 3rd string) and hit that same e note on the 3rd string.
