Yes but at least the cub is safe for its entire life, and not going to be hunted for some idiot who thinks its bones and blood will make them super potent. So a life of safety and potentially maintaining the species or a few years of being hunted for and never getting the chance to exchange genes and procreate has got to be a small price to pay. BTW, all wild animals should be just that wild and left the hell alone, but all the time humans inhabit this world that will never be the case, as they will always try and exploit beautiful creatures like this in their natural habitat.

@@johndawkes7339 But I heard sometimes after the cubs grow up they're given to a trophy hunting place, idk but that was for lions I think, either way any stuff like this is cruel to have cubs taken from their mothers just to get overcrowded by tons of people and it's scared and confused. I'm talking about feline cubs not general zoo animals

@@tukotukoba633 I did not know that about the trophy hunting, I would like to think a Sumatran Tiger has value as a breeding animal for the furtherance of the species. It is not ideal to show them off like this, but I just suppose the zoo is extremely proud of the cub. Humans will be humans and when you have a country that pays little regard to human rights, animal rights are going to be even lower on the list of priorities. As they say in Animal Farm, all animals are equal, just some are more equal than others, we are on the same page with our thoughts.
