Even armed robbers and other groups of notorious criminals in the society are usually very smart people. Our legal system would not be carried way by such qualities. Ghana says no to LGBTQ+ and anybody living in Ghana should understand that including you the white lady in the video. These white people says no to polygamy in their countries and no one questions them about it. Why are they trying to force that nonsense on Africans. Madam white lady, carry your cameras and go to your country and advocate this nonsense to your people. You call us monkeys in your countries and yet you still want to impose your nonsense culture on us. Ghana says NO to that NONSENSE and that is it. GLC would not allow any walking illigality to practice law in this country!!!! Anybody that will take the law into their hands by practicing this nonsense should also be ready to face Ghanaians that would also take the law into their hands and force them to stop the nonsense, on the street and in their corners. Ghanaians are not ready to adhere to any advocacy or whatever to this NONNSE!!!! Madam white lady, go and ask your people to legalize polygamy and stop this NONSENSE!!!!!!!!

Ama is a very intelligent girl and she would make a great lawyer. I believe she will become one of the most powerful lawyers but just not in Ghana. I really hope she can travel outside ghana and be a great lawyer from there and also be herself but as far as she is in Ghana she will have to abide by our rules. it is quite unfortunate but it is what it is. we should remind her in prayers to get through this phase.

about this issue of hers, 1. as a lawyer you need to read about the rules and policies everywhere you go and act accordingly. like she said, school requires her to dress formal, hence, she has to. it’s the same way school requires you to have good morals. this is to honor the reputation of the law school as well as prepare you to be deemed competent by law firms. so she going against it is her choice and decision which has led to her situation now. 2. she could’ve waited till she was done with school to potray these behaviours because i believe a lot of law firms don’t have strict rules and policies as the law school. mind you it was a school, reason to there being a lot of rules and if she thought it was too much she could’ve found other alternatives. I believe in a law firm it is quite flexible so she could’ve waited and passed the bar and started doing whatever it is she wants. 3. lastly, as a lawyer you need to know the laws and also abide by them and that shows how much of a leader you are. ghana is a country where the lgbtq community is not accepted. what type of lawyer would you be to break the law? you would be a bad one and they do not want your actions to tarnish their image. As they said, it is being investigated but i do not think she should be pardoned because some of her videos shows mockery to the law school and the professors in it. she should not be allowed to pass the bar. this would serve as a deterrent for others. In order for her to achieve her goals and be herself, i would advise she leaves the country to study law elsewhere, where she can be herself without any restrictions but as far as the culture and laws of ghana are in place, she would have to sacrifice and live by the laws. we do not need to change our culture and laws for anyone, we only do when majority agrees and it is found necessary which is not happening anytime soon.

The white woman in the video should carry her cameras to his people and ask them to legalize polygamy and let's see if it's going to be considered. You can be anything you want or how you feel, but do it in your private time or inside your house, but dont confront me with your problem or celebrate to be squeer (gay).Because to be gay is not the norm,we dont celebrate to be straight, I also hate it when straight people openly tonguekiss, be yourself but dont tell the youth that it is normal, it is not, thats why gay people never gonna be exept in the society,we dont hate you but do your thing in your space and dont tell us it is normal, Ana say that it is normal in the netherland absolutely not, being gay is ordered to us by the government, it's shoved down our throats but it's spit out because it's not the norm. That’s not hate it’s factual. We all have flaws but we don’t walk around demanding respect and acceptance. What if a murderer says “I was born like this and my biology is the reason why I’m not empathetic towards others”. The law holds them accountable. Being gay may be okay but much better if you do it in your own space without a batch on your chest. Human rights is for everyone, none should be abused period. It’s freedom of speech and sometimes we don’t agree.
@sithabelamandlawenkosiwodu6298
@sithabelamandlawenkosiwodu6298 Жыл бұрын
@@sandrakanguvi7614 it's factual to call gay people squeer intentionally knowing that's not he correct term to use? It's factual to say gay is not normal? Heterosexual people do not walk around demanding respect and acceptance because they've always been accepted and don't need to do that. You're comparing apples and oranges. Heterosexual people have always had their rights. Being gay is not a flaw. Your example of a murderer is very weak. How do you compare a person that kills another person to a person that loves another person and is judged for that love because it's the same sex? You are jaxtaposing murder with homosexuality, really??? Would you compare a murderer to an interracial couple too? Because to this day interracial marriages are still not accepted in many societies. How do you compare someone that takes it upon themselves to end another person's life causing misery to that person's loved ones to a person that just wants to live their truth honestly? Is it fair that the latter gets judged for that? Which gay person did you see with a batch on their chest? In any case people that have their rights infringed upon them should definitely stand up and fight for their rights. Why do you have a problem with that? You say gay people should be gay in their own space. Why? Are straight people straight in their own space? Do we not have straightness shoved down our throats everywhere we look, TV, social media even in town at the park straight people kiss and hold hands. Why can't others do the same? And even when gay people are gay in their own space, like you say, straight people infringe on their privacy by peeping and reporting them like what happened in Zambia in 2019 and Nigeria and Uganda. Is that fair? Your last sentence about human rights is very contradictory so I won't even go there.
@sandrakanguvi7614
@sandrakanguvi7614 Жыл бұрын
@@sithabelamandlawenkosiwodu6298 Not Fair, human rights for all. Nobody should be harassed at all and I still stand on my point. Sodomy is not it and that’s my personal conviction. What are the biological factors that attest to your argument? Is this a behavioural aspect? My concern is where do we draw the line. How should the government adjust to new sexualities and identities in setting regulations. I’m not for the violence of gay people and I don’t condone it. How far can we go with this? Please educate.

In our part of the world its not allowed for a same gender to engage in sexual activities. So as in our part of the world in our, values we recognise polygamy And its criminal act in the western world. You can keep you lgbtq with your partner at least no see what you doing to yourself. I agree with her on people educating themselves on how to prevent STD's and unwanted pregnancies etc, but your argument for LGBTQ is very flawed (to say the least)! Hearing you speak, it's clear to me you're deriving morality from emotions, and that's not how the world works. You mentioned it's not right for gay people not to have the possibility to enact on their feelings when clearly hetero sexual people can, that's not fair etc. Well, let's use your own reasoning for another scenario then, imagine a non-identical adult twin pair (boy and girl) who loves each other very much and want to have sexual relationship together, they've come to terms with not having children because it can lead to very severe consequences for the child and decides to use contraception (IUD e.g). Do you agree for them to have a sexual relationship even though they are biological siblings? If so then I think you have a bigger problem (and you need to take a good look at yourself!). If the answer is No, then you have a double standard, what about their right to sexual freedom? Why are you not fighting for their right?? Under the same "Harm Principle" used by you and the LGBT community, they should be able to do what they want as long as they're not harming anyone! I hope you see the flaw in your arguments (both you guys). The truth of the matter is, the norm in society has always been hetero sexual relationships, this is how we've procreate and grown into the big society we are now, homosexual relationships do not benefit society, it benefit individuals! This egalitarian narrative you're pushing will not work in Ghana, a country with a majority Christian and Muslim population who has rational conviction of God's existence and gives sovernity to him. This will always have a higher epistemic value to them (and they will defend it too). It baffles my mind how people fail to see this in, or do you think because you feel a certain way that you are entitle to enact on it and society should just accept it?? Maybe you need to educate yourself on the "woke culture" that is going on in the current hegemony (the west). Children are being told from a young age that they can change their sexual orientation and some parents end up losing custody over their child for this (not to mention the irreversible damage done to the child). Is this really the narrative you want to push in Africa?? and the best you can do is "I feel.. it's not fair..."?? All the arguments you gave came from an emotional place! It's true you're feeling something, but your feelings are not the truth and the world does not owe you and explanation! When you tolerate everything, you stand for nothing and the Ghanian people stand for their cultural and religious values!

It was a customary rites of some ethnic groups. It wasn't a law in our constitution. Ama is saying the truth. Parliament rather passed a law to outlaw these practices. So there wasn't any such thing as an advocacy but rather these practices were brought to the attention of Parliament. So they passed a law to make it a criminal act.
