groove track? back in the day (early to mid '70's) Louisville was the ultimate cushion track. My favorite race.

Dave neglected to mention that Donnie "Bird" Estep was another second generation rider from Ohio. His dad Dave(NN 99) had success in the 50's and 60's on dirt and asphalt.

Lima is a much better track. Pea gravel that to this day never grooves up.
