CRIKEY-for us poor pheasants in Australia you guys have an awesome motorcycle swap meet!!! NO disrespect, to our swap meets, but honestly our motor cycle swap meets don't and wouldn't come within a flea's fart to what you guys have over there in the US (sigh) And the assortment and brand of bikes, bloody amazing! OMG all I can do is drool over my keyboard. My wish is that one day I could walk around such a swap meet, that would then tell me heaven is for real and it does exist!!!

That old Can-am brought back some memories. Back in my brief but eventful youth there was a guy who raced motocross with us. I’d see him at different tracks all over. He was a big Can-am freak. He had a 1976 250 that looked very much like that one. White like a refrigerator, and handled like one too…😂. Then he got the 1977 infamous Black Widow…still handled like a refrigerator…🕷️

I kept the 1981 GPZ 1100 Drag bike and a ZZR 1200 My friends collection was huge many kool Kawasaki's got sold and I hope everybody enjoys the history they bought ... let the good time's roll ....... 😎 Great video Jacket

Love the videos and dedication. I was born in the late 1950’s, Jack. Your dads era. I rode motorcycles for about 10 years before BIG BROTHER started taking freedoms away and using strong arm tactics to make riders wear brain buckets. I despise Gary Busey the actor for an unintended consequence of him wrecking his motorcycle and cracking his skull. He’s a major reason California created helmet laws. This 🖕🏻 is for laws that remove freedoms to choose. If anyone doesn’t want to wear a helmet it should be a choice. Nuff said! Modesto, Commiefornia

I remember a Motorcycle Action Group MAG helmet run where thousands of bikers did a no skidlid run in protest at compulsory crash hetmets in London Trafalgar Sq to East London around 1980/1 . It was great but the gov were taking number plates noting who wasn't wearing a lid. Fred West I think it was his name was a WW2 vet who was put in jail for refusing to pay his fines. If I remember right he died a martyr for that. It upsets me to this day thinking of what he did. He was a hero and fought as he said for freedom. There was also a gig in Somerset by MAG and Hawkwing played a great open air gig with camping in a field to protest and get funds for Fred.

@@Ian-bq7gp Thanks for the reply, mate! I hear ya. I feel bad for you UK folk that are under heavy gvmnt strong arm tactics. I have noticed that ever since the PLANdemic, it’s gotten even worse. My American heart goes out to you all in the UK. All our respective gvmnts are becoming tyrannical. I’m hoping that one day we the people can recover from having most of our God given freedoms removed, and regain our freedoms back.

I'm 65 years old. When that Kawasaki Z1 900 came out that was the king stud of motorcycles with a 12.5 second quarter mile time in stock trim. Then that Gold Wing came out in 75 selling for $3,000 dollars and I just wondered why they would put a car engine in a motorcycle. Back in the 70's nobody would have believed there would be 600cc Japanese sportbikes in the near future that could run 10.9 seconds in the quarter mile in stock trim.

I had a 72 H2 750 that was tough keeping the front wheel down... but I was able to take 1st place in bracket racing with it... It came down to me and another Kawasaki dial-in at 11 flat... my dial-in was 12:60 so I got a head start... I ran 12:63 and the other guy jumped bracket running a 10:90!

Great video!, but as mentioned there is a ton of other events going on. They used to have pit bike races, but it's been awhile so maybe the safety police got involved. It was priceless. The prices of the bikes are very high for bikes that are so-so. With patience and time you can get them on Bring a Trailer and CL sorted out for decent prices.

I had the same green KZ900 around 76-77. Unfortunately, a DA in a Crown Victoria making a left turn, pulled out in front of me with just enough time to lock up the brakes. Front disc locked, back in swung around and my left leg got sandwiched between bike and car. It had just started to rain and fortunately the bike was tall enough that it snapped my femur and launched me over the trunk. I didn't have a scratch except for a broken femur. The bike was totaled and was in a heap at the shop last time I saw it. My full coverage helmet was obliterated. I would have died or had a severe closed head injury if I had not been wearing it. I didn't ride for a long time after that. I'm now on an Indian Springfield, great bike. That KZ was an awesome bike!

When I was in high school I had an RD350 that had clip-ons, rear-sets and solo cafe seat. I used to blow away CB 750-4's stop light to stop light and then the V45 Interceptor came out and was the first 4 stroke 750 to beat my bike. Then some time later the original Suzuki Katana 1100 with the weird body work came out and not knowing what it was I tried to race it and before I even made it across the intersection the guy was halfway down the block. It was time for me to move up to a bigger bike, lol.

An event I've always wanted to attend when I first joined the AMA many years ago. It is definitely on my "Bucket List". I was hoping you'd run across a early '70's 650cc street bike. I saw some 350cc. I was also looking for either a 125, 250 or 360cc Yamaha Enduro. These were the bikes we rode when I was in High School late '60' through to '71 and beyond.
